  1. Can't argue with that. Newcastle identify a need, identify a player, sign said player, move on. By contrast Harry goes to France saying he's going to look at Loic Remy, just as he did over 2 years ago. Obviously hasn't made his mind up yet. That said, we have got 2 more young Croatian players, a young Slovenian plus a 17 yr old keeper from Stockport County all on trial. The transfer strategy I spoke about a couple of days ago seems to be flourishing. Tottenham and Levy have nailed it. Seems like you've got a fantastic set up for youth whilst also making sure that the main team comes through as well. Considering how little time it's taken to become so good, it really is impressive. I remember when Keegan made the comment after that Chelsea game a few years back saying it was a closed shop in the top four. Just shows things can change very quickly if you have a very good model or are City and just buy whoever you want Well, I think it's a bit of perfect storm coming together. You've had the financial mismanagement at Man United and Liverpool plus Man City appearing out of nowhere like a richer, crazier Chelsea. Chelsea getting older, and not being able to turn on a dime. Put a lot of stress on the Top Four . Credit to Tottenham.

    Papiss Cissé

Blatant attempt to corner the replica kit market in Senegal. Disgusting.
  3. Was/Is anyone really that impressed with Marveaux? Really?
  4. Thought the answer had to be Santon.
  5. And some on here went on to idolise him. No different. Agree. However, I didn't see many who at the time supported him. Time heals all wounds and that, but to come out with the kind of support Suarez is getting is downright disgusting. Hmmm. I think the Andy Carroll example is more apt. A lot of people on here were all too happy to vilify Steven Taylor at the time of the Carroll v. Taylor fight. Fans are willing to forgive a lot of off field behavior if they player is performing. Carroll was scoring goals and Taylor was (generally) considered shit.
  6. Like a Manchester United "injury crisis"
  7. Joey Barton Also, Enrique, Carroll, Dempsey
  8. Sorry oldtype, had to have a little laugh there
  9. Would be good logic if Raylor wasn't prone to be terrible. The quicker he's out, the better. If Coloccini is out next game, it should be; Santon - Kadar - Perch - Simpson. Ryan Taylor awfulness has really come out in recent games against top clubs like Man City, Man United, and Chelsea. Tottenham also tried to exploit this weakness, but Gareth Bale didn't produce. I'm not sure that our next few opponents have the talent to expose Taylor in quite the same way as he's been exposed over the past month.
  10. Who is consistently better? Well, Cabaye for starters. Ben Arfa certainly since he's started. What has he done going forward? He's been terrific defensively.
  11. Sorry if I'm later here, but I can't believe this. Supposedly weaker side? She's been drinking that RTG kool-aid I think.
  12. That's ridiculous. Can't believe they're that down. What a lack of enthusiasm. And is that the Chelsea forum? I mean, three (short) pages? Surely, there must be somewhere else where Chelsea fans are chatting.
  13. Don't think we'll be going 4-4-2. I think it'll be Ba up front on his own, even at home. He looked pretty isolated away at Man United. I'd figure Ben Arfa again playing in the hole and Guthrie replacing Jonas if Tiote is available. Otherwise, Sammy starts?
  14. Chelsea really have a tough week. Surely, they'll give priority to the Liverpool and Valencia matches. Any thoughts about their lineup against us? Might we see Torres or Anelka? Alex? More to point RE: Simpson and Taylor, might they rest Malouda or Mata?
  15. But they have such a great squad on paper. Should be pushing for Europe.
  16. Yeah, but then spoils it by saying that he (previously) didn't believe that Colo had the ability to play consistently at a high level. Like so many pundits, it's like he (and others) watched Colo a few times in his first season for us and dismissed him and are only waking up now. If I read or hear any one talk about Colo has shown drastic improvement this season I think I'll scream.
  17. You can read peoples minds? Freaky. It's only people with Asperger syndrome who cannot. Rooney's intent was written on his face.
