I've only got football questions to ask now apart from this, is their an American connection to Barcelona just so many american tourists there (I now know of the English Connection btw) There isn't a connection, it's just that it's a damn popular destination. Spain is the second most visited country in the world and Barcelona the most popular city in it. Gotta say Madrid is a damn fine place too. The English connection I suppose you mean the cross of Saint George? Aye Madrid is on my hitlist of places to go in the next couple of years. Fancy taking in an Atleti game. Shame my two favourite clubs in Spain (Atleti and Atheltic) play in the devils colours though. They took them from Southampton FC, no Sunderland relation so you can feel fine. Atlético used to be Athletic's B team so that's why they share name and colors. Its the colours not the history, only red/white team I can tolerate is PSV due to the links we have with them - Sir Bob and countless European games.

The other two being...? I can comfortably say Newcastle 0 - 1 Sheffield United (Webber IIRC) is the worst game I have been too. I'm sure it was in a run of absolutely shocking games too, got a 0-0 against some other newly promoted team pre/post that n all which was shite too. 0-0 v Charlton (with as manager) was previous home game. But we went something like 7 games without a win. The 0-1 v Sheff Utd was the one that started the Shepherd out protests, which I remember cos I was one of them. Both were throughly awful games though. Aye thats the one. Awful games. Was when I was travelling up from Leeds for games n all, horrific. Sheff Utd is the only game I have ever left before the end for in the hundreds of games I've been too.

Why hope that? Does my head in the way fans of other clubs fawn over them. They've made their bed so now they can lie in it like everyone else would have to. I'm not saying they don't deserve it :S, did you enjoy the slip from the top? Then eventually the premier league majoritly down to mis-management off the field? Can't say I like scousers like, seem to have more mongs than us :| But you did say "let's hope they come back stronger". Why exactly? It seems to be a common thing. The most annoying example being when people say "the league is better for a stronger [insert struggling big club]" which is total nonsense. IMO the more clubs struggling, the better for me & my team.
