They offered more money to both him and the club Sssssh, he moved to Tottenham cos they iz gonna win d league innit not for da cash bruv.

Didn't wake up to expect this this morning, well played by the Spurs board in fairness, kept it quiet and got down to business. Bit gutted but hey ho plenty more fish in the sea.

Pretty much confirms what we all thought was going on. Brilliant that we are going after this calibre of player.
-
Made that journey a few times when i used to live down there...not the best like.

To be fair to Enrique, with only Capdevilla and Antonio Lopez infront of him (as far as i am aware) as the main two Spanish national team left backs, if he keeps on improving there is no reason why he can't break into the Spain full squads
-
Very well put together. The nationals would do well to copy and paste most of has been written there. He's obviously been researching well.

Lawro's ganning for a draw Kevin Keegan has managed to fit three strikers into his Newcastle team and he has got that system working. And defensively they look better, too. West Ham have been unconvincing as they struggle with injuries and they only scraped past Derby last week. I think this could be a fairly open game and it may well have a few goals in it. Verdict: 2-2

Park?! Has been injured vast majority of the season then has looked alright evertime i've seen him since. I cannot for the life of me see what he offers to such a great United side. Fair enough but that doesn't make him worthy of being in a worst team of the season. Decent player IMO although lacks a position a final product a lot of the time.

Good answers from Keegan.

Much like the Modric thread? I prefer it like that too. (As long as you put latest developments in the title eg: Player X linked (Various) or Player X in talks.) Yeah thats exactly what i was on about, don't necessarily need a new forum just need to keep the original one tidy.

That is quality Ash! Aye nice one.

Thought they'd be too busy painting abuse on the training gorund to have time to comment on us

Aye, it'd be a bit crap if he was turboshit like. Or like Viana as i said previously, as there will be a hell of a lot of pressure for him to perform straight away unless we use the Arsenal method of gradually exposing him to games a la Eduardo
-
Still going to be in the play-offs so never say never.
-
Prefer to have one thread per player than one massive rumours thread as it can be hard to keep up with whats going on, be that in here or a transfer forum i'm not arsed

Eee them scousers, what lovable rogues they all are
-
Although he has had a very good season for his first season he has faded badly since Nov/Dec.
-
If it come's anywhere near Leeds I'd be potentially interested.

A source close to Henry has stated: 'Although he claims to be an Arsenal man, the lure of ham & pease pudding stotties and the opportunity to go down Bigg Market on a Saturday night for a Woo Woo may be to much to turn down'

Not sure Superman could play left back, lost quite a lot of his pace when he fell off that horse. Lost quite a lot more when he died. fantastic comment

Apparently its the fee, not the wage. I'm not sure that we'd provide all the hospitality, then offer £6m less than the apparent January asking price. It is just one paper after all. All of the talk is coming from his club, not NUFC. Bidding war, nothing more. Coming from Telegraph, .com, and the Chronicle as well remember. When has Oliver ever taken a story off a foreign newspaper? Sorry, but trying to convince me that Oliver talks anything other than bollocks is a bit of a waste of time. Our media are reporting it because they've picked up on the story in Croatia. (IMO) Whoosh!

Definitely a positive sign even being linked so heavily/meeting with a player such as Modric as shows that the club seems to identifying the right kind of player: good on the ball, flexible, decent turn of pace and strengthening in areas where we need strengthening while at the same time sending out a message to our rivals that we mean business next season. Doing it before the Euros as well (if it goes through) will send out a message to those playing in the Euros that we are looking to go places next season and may well get us a chance at getting players we otherwise wouldn't have been able to.
