They would want more than that for Chimbonda tho. Didn't they allegedly knock back £10m from Chelsea in the summer. Hutton has looked good when I've seen him. Not sure about 8m though. Chimbonda, while a vile t***, is a pretty decent defender and versatile as well. Dropped by Ramos in favour of Zokora at right back apparently so doubt they would hold out for such a large fee again. Hutton is good but can fall to pieces sometimes, 8m is probably a fair reflection of his current ability though.

Martins looks lacking in confidence, needs a goal to sort him out i reckon, would sacrifice Butt for Emre as i think he will give us more in this game, consider getting Owen on for Martins soon.

Quite enjoying this game, Duff doing well, Milner and Zog good attacking, Cacapa and Taylor look ok with Faye protecting, fuck was just posting this then they scored.

He's an excellent manager, there's something inspirational about him and he gets the best out of his players. Villa are good to watch this season and his signings have been generally very good. I've always liked the way he jumps about like a madman and i could not understand why some fans were turning their noses up at the possibility of him becoming manager at the time.

Decent game now, Liverpool should have won it.

This is quite honestly the most sensible post I have ever seen on any NUFC board. If Mr Allardyce could explain his reasoning behind such negative away tactics and team selections - and it made any sense - then yes - we would give him time. At the moment we make it easy for every single team we play - they know exactly how we are going to play. The way it looks at the moment ain't nice - we are without doubt the worst footballing side in the Premiership. And it really does hurt me to say that. We go out not to lose and the problem is we do lose - and against very very poor teams. Yep i agree with all of this, an explanation of his methods i'm sure would help people to understand why he's doing the things he is.

I cannot see why people would think he could just walk into the job and do it better than the already established coaches out there, it would be a silly risk to take and one that i don't think Mort and Ashley will go for.

He's not exactly Park Ji Sung, I can't see millions of Koreans rushing out to buy toon shirts for Jae-Jin Cho! In fact I honestly think it'd have very little impact. I think his next move will be to speak to Mort and they will decide that Sam will be given until the end of the season with little cash to spend in January, maybe if a quality player like Arshavin is available then get him in because he should be benificial no matter what manager we end up with. Sam will probably go at the end of the season if things do not pick up a bit and there is no real progress being shown. If i was Mort and Ashley i would insist on trying to get rid of a player before bringing more than 1 in since half the players don't seem suitable for the formation he is using.
