  1. It would need to be £150m + for us to even consider it - every player has their price though. I imagine it is just Liverpool making it clear they want him so he doesn't sign a new deal - then they will return next summer
  2. I hate to say it, but Froggy is right in this instance. Brighton are one of the best at spotting and developing talent, and they sold Gyokeres for £1m. Sometimes there isn't an obvious progression for a player at one club and it takes a transfer for them to get the game time they need to reach their potential.
  3. Assuming we were in for Pedro, why is it so surprising we would be in for Ekitike? They are both versatile forwards who can play as 9, 10 or on the wing. If we can get him for around £60-65m then he looks like the perfect signing - able to play with and in place of Isak. Also, if we do lose Isak in the future Ekitike looks like the closest to him in terms of attributes and style that there is out there
  4. Unless him in 1 years time has a half decent haircut
  5. For whenever Elanga/Isak/Osula combine for a goal... Nordic boys, taking the piss
  6. Would make me wonder if we've agreed to Let Isak leave next summer
  7. Perhaps not a traditional 10, but he played Josh King behind Callum Wilson at Bournemouth
  8. I think Tonali has proved he is much better in the 6 role for us rather than the 8.
  9. Any midfielder we bring in will more likely be an attacking 8 or a creative 10 type IMO
  10. Based on what? Are you just saying that because you're hoping it's the higher amount or is there some sort of standard figure for this sort of thing?
  11. Yeah, 15% of profit is what I heard too
  12. We have plenty of home grown, it's trained at club we are lacking. I did hear that Lewis Hall might qualify? We can include as many u21 players as we like, I think - so there is always something to fall back on if we get an injury crisis
  13. Would love us to sign him. He's the type of player our midfield is desperately lacking
  14. Does the whole of Europe have The associated party sponsorship rules that were brought in specifically to hamstring NUFC?
  15. To the footballing pet hates thread!
  16. Yeah, no doubt we had some interest in him - my hope is we are looking at someone younger and more versatile now though
  17. I think it was going to be part of a deal with Minteh going the other way. Similar to the Vlach/Anderson deal but with a player we may have actually used coming to us
  18. I think often when a player is very quick that is all people think he can do well. Elanga looks like he has decent enough technique whenever I have watched him and he is genuinely two footed which helps open up a defence. We may not be able to change your mind on Elanga, but I don't think Eddie Howe is going to change what he wants from a wide player either, so you may have to just accept we are going to be buying a strong, quick winger rather than a technical one. Whether that is Elanga or someone else.
  19. Jesus Christ, no way! Horrific news
  20. Eh? They are currently at 98%, right? So the deal they have agreed is to bring them down to 18% over the current allowed ratio?

    João Pedro

Perhaps the Chelsea women's team or a local hotel will sponsor them?
  22. I agree. Trafford and Elanga seem desperate to come here so I think they are worth the premier league premium.
