  1. Yup. The Suarez loss is one he never recovered from. Various reasons, too, as to why this happened, not all entirely his fault. But it's one that sealed his fate.
  2. Could you elaborate on that?
  3. He's definitely one that splits the old opinion right down the middle. Refreshing from the usual "he's fucking shite" reaction most of our players elicit.
  4. Seems very odd as he was utter gash. He was fine first half, man. It's tough doing the job of two people as Gouffran happens to be miles worse than even his regular ginger partner in crime. I don't recall The Gouff even touching the ball the entire f***ing game. Christ, here we go again, this old chestnut comes out every time. always someone else's fault. Hold onto your own chestnuts, Caitlyn. Just saying Anita had a decent first half where he was shoring up Gouffran's invisibility. He was just as gash as everyone else in the second half.
  5. Sadly, I know that is true as well. In theory, have we ever signed two first-team-ready players for the same position? If we're linked with Debuchy it means we're already banking on cashing in on Janmaat?

    Steve McClaren

McClaren is on the board now is he not? I think he has to take some responsibility especially as he was happy enough to endorse giving Colo a new contract. If a manager can't keep a player he thinks is important then he's not really a manager. Yeah I'm sure he does, even if it's only symbolic. I just mean that the club wanted to shift Abeid for ages, and McClaren probably didn't have much time to form an opinion on him. Unless he'd said 'stop all sales until January', which in a normal club might have happened. I wish I could understand why the club were so desperate to shift Abeid then. How much did we get for him, 500k or something wasn't it? Yeah I can see why they were so desperate to rake in the cash there like. It's not even as if he's that good a player, but at least you know he would get stuck in for 90 mins and he had the added bonus of not being a 5ft midget. I firmly believe it's part of the current political climate to demonize and get rid of all those of an Arab descent: Ben Arfa, Abeid, Ryan Taylor. SyRyan Taylor I believe One more refugee over the wall.
  7. I just think he and his bestie Kebab knew exactly what they were doing, and got their big money moves by using us as a stepping stone. No different from Ba. I don't hold that against ambitious players, but the way this club has been run fosters such behavior and encourages it. As a player I'd love him back, but do we need another cunt who doesn't give a shit about this club? We already have a squad full of them.

  9. Get bent, you fuck. Janmaat has shown he cares more in his shorter time here.

  11. Massive ask, that. I'm honestly struggling to justify thinking we'd get a win out of any of that lot. Same here. Every single team in there, bar Sunderland, looks far more up for a fight, and better organized, than us.
  12. Didn't really work all that well last time did it? Yep. This mentality is just wishful thinking. Somehow we'll get our club back by hoping Ashley leaves, and we'll suddenly have players who can lift us back to the Premiership. If we go down, I don't see us coming back up for a few seasons, if at all in the near future. We no longer have players like Nolan and Barton in the dressing room who care enough to bring us straight back up. I'll be fine if we are in the first division for a few seasons IF it makes Ashley leave and we get in a real, caring owner, but those kinds of billionaires with hearts of gold are hard (almost impossible) to find.

Why the fuck is OUR new manager syndrome always so shit?

    Rolando Aarons

I'm in the conspiracy camp. Something's up with him and the club behind the scenes.
  15. It'd have been a pleasure to watch Mitro on the wing.

Tux in quite well in the heart of our defence.

    Florian Thauvin

Let's hope he doesn't go into management, then. He'll be another one of the old school track-back bullies who'll sign cloggers. If his tweets are anything to go by.

This place, the roof, the fire... when he scored. Memories.
  21. Man, when Dyer was full on fit and in his prime, he was sensational. That season he learned how to score () he was nearly unplayable. I always loved the fact that he was a player who had no real position, yet we could pair him with Speed and he'd come back deep pick up the ball from CBs and then carry it forward, quick 1-2 passes. Switch etc - but when we went on the counter and you had Dyer do his little classic stepover - which was (if he was on the right side) he'd use his right foot to step over and hit it with his left to set himself up for a cross....he'd get his man every time. I hated him towards the end, but at 1 point, he was one of my favorites... Southampton away Yup. Dyer was fantastic for us, and before he became a megacunt, was one of our fave players.
  22. Precisely. I just hope we get to keep him until we've stabilized as a club and are firmly established as a 14th placed side.
