    Steve McClaren

When the ex-Derby boss took over in June, he originally made it known that Coloccini was not in his plans and that he wanted a vocal centre-back brought in who could be his new captain. Unfortunately, it was soon made clear to McClaren that such a player would be costly and would not be signed over the summer, so instead Coloccini was offered a new deal and retained the captaincy.
  2. The first sign of madness is to continue doing what you're doing in spite of failure. Or something. King George doesn't have an inch on these fucking cunts.
  3. We're not a threat to you Louis. Just let it happen. Surely the way McShteve has been licking Van Gaal's balls in the media will have tickled the latter's massive ego and he may just let Valdes go? Either way, don't see the PL itself allowing this, since we have 9 registered keepers or something.
  4. 18 years after John Toshack won La Liga with Real Madrid, Harry Redknapp won the FA Cup with Portsmouth.

It baffles me as to why he's persisting with hiring only yes-men and dinosaurs. Did the whole Keegan fiasco really burn him that badly? It's been asked forever on here, but how can someone who's such a success in the business world keep employing ludicrously under-qualified, inept managers to manage one of his most expensive assets?
  10. Colo was at fault for "the majority of them"? 1 - Mbabu didn't track Fernandinho when Silva dinked it towards the back post - Janmaat was marking Aguero and didn't track him - well worked goal 2 - Mbemba awful pass 3 - Janmaat was yards behind the rest of the line (this has happened for a few goals lately) - Aguero spun off Mbemba (who probably thought he was offside) and finished superbly - well worked goal 4 - Gouffran didn't track de Bruyne 5 - Aguero skipped-by Mbemba and finished superbly 6 - Aguero got in-between Colo and Lascellas to tap in Aguero was world class and sometimes you have to accept that he was far too good for our defenders to handle! The fact that Le Gouff had to constantly take up the CB position because Colo was marking thin air and ball watching is testament to itself. Watch the De Bruyne goal again, Colo might as well have paid the ticket as a spectator. Watch the last goal, there is absolutely no way Aguero should've squeezed in behind him unchallenged. He was ball-watching for pretty much the entire fucking game, not putting any pressure at all on opposing players.

I dread clicking on the thread when it gets bumped, but I just can't help it. He simply isn't going away and enjoying his payoff quietly.
  12. I know. But you have to hold us, after.
  13. Bored because even if he goes onto win the fucking Champions League with Palace and returns to football to nab the Ballon D'Or, he would still have done a fucking ridiculously shit job here, and should've been sacked long before he willingly left. And was integral in leaving us with the defeatist mentality the club is finding difficult to get out of (yes, I know it's mainly Ashley's fault, but Pardew was his Goering).
  14. Bit tricky. Our manager suggests that it is yet to start.
  15. If we stay up, he could become a bit of a legend here, and we can have a true owner of the number 9 shirt.
  16. Yep, and look at older, more intelligent defenders in Italy. They have distinguished, long careers because they know that even though they've lost a yard of pace, their reading of the game improves like wine over time. They can cut out threats before they even begin, and are in control of the entire backline. Colo seems to no longer have the physique or the mentality to cope at this level anymore.
  17. Mate and I watched all the goals again and he was at fault for a majority of them. He gets caught ball-watching over and over again, and if Aguero has just scored 4 fucking goals on your ass, why would you not mark him and let him gingerly score another tap-in?
  18. Goodness me. A very fair assessment of his time here, but fuck me, reading about his time at Palace would have you think Klopp had picked Selhurst Park instead of Anfield. I hate this guy so much.
  19. My issue with him, in fear of sounding like Pardew and the type of managers I hate, is his lack of interest in closing an opponent down as he approaches, stands and waltzes past him, time and time again. On Saturday there were 4-5 opportunities not just for a tackle but mild pressure he could've applied to one of the City midfielders in possession, and he just literally jogged along without giving a fuck and watched the ball being played into attacking positions. If you're Hatem Ben Arfa and you're ripping the opposition a new one with the ball, you can get away with that shit, but if you're doing fuck all WITH the ball and without it, then why the fuck are you in the team?
