  1. I've just looked up the other one, and it's fucking tough. Can give a clue if anyone wants.
  2. Van der Sar is correct, 122 according to wiki
  3. Brad Friedel? edit: Just checked. Wiki says he has 82.
  4. They do it tongue in cheek though. "while the airport workers have been busy again, clocking Kanoute arriving from Ghana, where he has been on Nations Cup duty"
  5. Some of the free kicks that Robert scored were unbelievable. Ones against Man U, Southampton and Derby spring instantly to mind.
  6. He may not deserve it, but if he was in the squad then he could come on for the last 5. It would be overly sentimental etc., and may well be unjustified, but it could put the issue to bed for once and all.
  7. Exactly how I feel. One of our weaker links, after CM.
  8. "I am reluctant to tell you all I know as I really do not know anything." I'm pretty sure he said everything, not anything didn't he? Quite a major difference.

It was magic. No person alive could have reacted quickly enough to get something on that, let alone stop it.
  10. I know what you mean, but after the past two results and lack of attacking ability on display it could start to go flat pretty quickly. Spending a bit of money will remind people that something new is happening, and that Keegan wasn't just a token appointment to appease the fans, if you get what I'm saying.
  11. Could be a useful signing, would certainly offer us alternatives to what we have at the moment, which would have been very useful against Bolton. I think getting a new face in would give the club a bit of a boost at least.
  12. On what basis would you start Carroll above Smith up front?

    Save our Shola!

Are we? Which one? Cos of the first setence is true, so is the second. I was questioning whether we were knocking back £3m bid for him. I haven't even seen it rumoured, let alone confirmed.

    Today's matches.

I know most people won't agree, but I'd love Everton to get through to the final. It would be excellent for football to have a final without any of the bloody 'big four' involved.
  15. And play Carr at right back? Or buy a right back? Geremi would be better at RB for us than he has in any other position.
  16. Massive support for Rafa in the stands tonight. I suppose it's the American's fault they've failed to mount a title challenge
  17. Good point! At their peak you'd be talking £40m for Shearer, £30m for Ferdinand, £20m for Gillespie, £15m for Lee, £15m for Batty, £22m for Ginola, 500k for Barton, £5m for Albert, 650k for Beresford, 400k for Peacock and £3m for Srnicek. Shit that was a good team. Wish to fuck we'd got the likes of Colin Hendry and Tim Flowers here as well. (IIRC they were always being rumoured as well as Pallister) Given that Barton went for £4m as it was I'd imagine his peak price would probably be higher. You're underrating Beresford massively there as well imo. Peacock too. Oh no, wait, our defence was shit wasn't it mackems.gif
  18. He has been the star player of Wigan this season. muahahahahahaahahahahahaaa!!!!!!1 It's not all that often I agree with you NM, but you're spot on there

10? he got 23 last season and has 13 already this season Even Le Sib got a few in Europe. Pretty obvious he means in the league.
  20. Barring the £6m on Nugent, the rest has been very well spent. (£7m Muntari, £7m Utaka, £2m Diop, £3m Johnson, Distin Free...) He only spent £3m more than Allardyce, and before we get the "ooh, but the net spend blah blah", he didn't have big saleable assets to sell in the first place in the way we could get in £12m from Parker & Dyer. and at least redknapp cottoned on to the fact that nugent was s**** very early on, allardyce meanwhile thinks smith is captain material after half a season of s****. i'm far happier with redknapp getting a warchest than i would be about allardyce getting the same. Exactly. And whoever said D'Alessandro before, could see that happening now. if he can get d'alessandro for pompey i'd expect to see him buy even better for us. muntari was an absolute coup for them considering the clubs that were sniffing round him, man utd, juventus, milan and so on and i could see us signing players on that calibre on a regular basis if he comes. The signings and man management are his strongest suit imo. What we need right now imo. Can take us to the next level whereby managers of a higher calibre would begin to consider us. I'd love Jose, but I just don't think he'd take the idea seriously atm.
