Just having seen the goals, the first goal was an error from Harper (should have been looking to push that round the post) but not a terrible one - very unlucky with where it landed. From listening to the radio it sounded like he was keeping us in it at times. Not seeing the game I can't really comment on how individuals performed, but having Nolan, Geremi and Butt on the field at the same time is asking for trouble with their lack of pace and energy. Also a very tough ask for Carroll to play up top on his own after injury having seen how little support the midfield gave Ranger on Sunday. Our goal was very nice, lovely ball in and a good finish. edit: the Butt bashing is massively ott on here from people who didn't see the game, but it did sound like we were allowing a lot more shots from distance last night than normal, one of which led to a goal.

Ha... to be fair to Taylor though - his set piece delivery has actually improved considerably since the beginning of the season, and it's really promising. I mean, for instance - the woeful free-kick away at West Brom that led to them scoring is stark contrast to one or two he was whipping in vs Cardiff; there were one or two just begging to be put away the other day. Glad to see he's improving cos he looked utter fucking garbage at first. I can't understand why Guthrie isn't on corners, at least some of the time. Whipped in some great balls against 'boro last season.

even if it turns out he was in the wrong ? If he is worng he wont get a penny. well dah! i was replying to ahmed hope that he gets every penny he's claimed for without actually knowing what went on. we should have a sweep as to what people think will be the result. i'm going for keegan to be awarded a sum but nowhere near the ammount he's claiming. And us never to find out the whole truth. Seems the most likely outcome.

I think his inactivity after JFK's heart attack is one of the key mistakes he made. We were allowed to meander along for far too long without leadership before he acted, and dropped too many points.

I don't enjoy club football overall that much at the moment, but I'm enjoying supporting NUFC as much as ever. Haven't watched a premiership game this season yet and I can't see that changing any time soon, I just don't care. I haven't stopped enjoying going to the games though (especially aways) and I can't see that changing any time soon. Good post.

Other than that it's been good debate. Threads evolve you know, although your post isn't on topic either so why didn't you just PM everyone?

Even if he can only manage 20mins it would be good to give Ranger a bit of a breather, looked knackered at the end last week after the shift he put in. If they're both on the bench the pace of Loven and strength of Carroll will be a hell of a challenge to the Blackpool defenders for the last 20-30mins.
