  1. Can’t believe the number of people not mentioning the loss of Isak in their deliberations re Howe and this season. If you’d asked any NUFC fan early this year whether they’d expect a drop-off in the event of Isak leaving in the summer, who’d have said no? That’s without taking into account the failure to then land Howe’ preferred targets as Isak’s replacement. The guy had scored 44 league goals for us in two seasons…
  2. Your words. If any of us have misinterpreted them, it’s down to you being such a foaming mess that you didn’t bother (or aren’t capable of) explaining yourself in a coherent way. Only one melt here.
  3. You said he's a coward, full stop. You've since rowed back on that. Which is ironic...

    Dan Burn

Doubt he'd be in hospital with just a cracked rib. May well have punctured his lung.
  5. Our centre-backs also take up a much deeper starting position with Ramsdale in the team (as his starting position is deeper than Pope's), which is killing us.
  6. 100%. Sit in silence other than to chew on at those who don't.
  7. Semenyo would be the missed opportunity, for me. Plays anywhere across the frontline but a great record at RW - and surely would have come.
  8. Here’s a tangible: Schar needlessly gifted Burnley the ball for the move which directly led to their goal, then lost his man completely for the cross from which they should have equalised. Another tangible: Burn gifted Spurs their first equaliser.
  9. Not bothered that his horrendous pass led to Burnley’s goal and he completely lost his man for the sitter they missed at the death?
  10. They were there for the taking, first half - almost comically open defensively. But our failure to string more than three passes together and Gordon blatantly bottling the chance he had just before the break were painful. i wouldn’t have seen them coming back from 2-0. Of course, Pope now has to be seriously questioned. But Gordon deserves worse pelters for me.
  11. I suspect Garner arriving would mean Miley asking to leave.
  12. I wouldn’t worry. Brownbottle thinks Gazza was overrated…
  13. Agreed - and Xhaka is a huge signing.

Pretty sure that, in that Blackburn defeat at home, a Carroll defensive header from a corner landed almost on the edge of the opposition penalty area.

    Nick Woltemade

You are joking? He should have scored at least five at the weekend!
  16. Overrated? Did you see him run games for us, surrounded by the likes of John Cornwall? Ask Alex Ferguson if he was overrated - he saw Gazza give Robson and co the runaround vs Man Utd more than once. Then the season he had for Spurs following Italia 90 was just off the scale. An absolute cock of a human being - as evidenced in the ‘91 cup final. But a sensational, genuinely generational talent. He could literally do almost anything (very decent in the air, which gets forgotten). Overrated? Wow…

    Joe Willock

Looked a bit brighter than he has for a long while, but still nowhere near good enough to be ahead of Miley in the pecking order. A decent cross for Big Nick’s goal, but he owed him that after trying to make out - with ridiculous arm-waving histrionics - that his own headed howler was an attempted assist for Woltemade.
  18. No, Gabriel deliberately “tipped” him.

Didn’t know they served Special Brew now in the stadium bars.

I can’t see it - not when Tuchel has so clearly (and, to many, surprisingly) nailed his colours to BDB. I also can’t see anyone displacing him in our team in the foreseeable future. He’s been consistently picked in the past while making the odd rick, let alone being in the form he is now.

    Dan Burn

Who's going to go ahead of him?
