Very true. At Huddersfield i thought Rafa got it tactically superb, the perfect way to play a team who have the ball a lot and we hit them on the break brilliantly. And yesterday it was tactically inept, as bad as anything Pardew or Island Heed served up, not sure why it can't be called as you see it without it being bed wetting or over reacting. We all know how great Rafa is, he got it wrong (along with the players) like he has a few times at home. We manage to give away soft goals even when we play defensively. Our s*** passing isn't down to his tactics btw, he played a similar formation with Liverpool but they passed it around a lot better. Tim was a great young keeper and prospect but sadly he regressed at an age when he should have progressed. Krul never made near as many mistakes as Darlow is now Krul made plenty of errors - some of them utter howlers. Made almost as many in one game against Southampton I recall as Darlow has made in the last dozen games.

He's made a mistake in most games for a while now He's also made countless catches and commanded numerous situations which fatty Elliott and Sels would have watched unfold from the supposed safety of their goalline, no matter the pressure it piled on their back four. Darlow's a young keeper. Young keepers make mistakes, but the best of them remain brave enough to keep trying to do the right things and learn more about their trade along the way.

If Darlow makes more discernible "errors" than Elliott it's because he's a far braver keeper (ie braver in his decision-making). Look how he claimed cross after cross at Wolves. Would Elliott have done that? A keeper who doesn't look to command his box may not make as many glaring mistakes, but the pressure he creates for his back four will ultimately cost the team more heavily. For me, anyone who thinks Elliott - a decent shot-stopper but nothing more - is a better goalkeeper than Darlow needs a serious word with themselves.
