It's actually cheered me up a bit.

How the fuck he wasn't taken off after the first penalty shout I don't know. He should have been off after the booking, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Please no more.
-
Fuck me, he's on fire!
-
Not sure he can tbh. He looks ok but short of top class in the outings we've seen so far.
-
Trippier's not so bad, he's still a good footballer even if the pace has gone. But just look at the difference Hall made in just a few minutes with that run and cross which almost ended in a goal. Burn is getting destroyed down that left side, players know they can get at him.
-
Yep, I was thinking exactly the same thing about him being an ambassador for our club. I don't like the football we are playing this season, but I still shudder to think we had Pardew and Bruce before this man. Eddie made us proud of our club again. He will go down a legend.
-
We definitely don't need a new manager, it's not easy to get the really top ones. We are lucky to have picked one of the best around.
-
I sort of agree with this. We are trying to play a certain way when the players are no longer capable of doing it. Intensity was our identity, but it's everyone's identity in the PL now. Other teams are beating us at our own game, and usually end up playing the better football like what happened against West Ham.
-
Yep, the times we've played our best football is outside the PL when we get to player weaker teams. Maybe the injured players coming back will turn things around though.
-
Agree, he's a good player. But we need Wissa there as well for our set up. Our team was built around a fast striker who gets in behind, Wissa was supposed to provide that option.
-
He's looked a bit like this for most games IMO, just he's not getting the goals now. That run of scoring off every single chance was never going to last. He's had flashes of brilliant footwork, but he doesn't really look like scoring in most games.
-
I think they get deflated when they see Dan Burn constantly getting rinsed down that left hand side.
-
The Brentford lads were set up for him cutting inside, they didn't expect him to go the other way again. It really was a clever bit of foobtall
-
The result is all that matters so on that front it's a belter.
-
She's probably there for her football knowledge tbf.
-
Probably as good a side as we could put out given the injury problems. We should probably just concentrate on keeping a clean sheet with that side, I don't want to see Burn too advanced like happened against West Ham.
-
What we've seen in the PL is that our current PL starting line up is not great, even against the weakest opposition. We get outpressed and outpassed in a lot of these games. Hall coming back would help, and getting Wissa fit and available definitely will see us kick on. But if it's a similar line up to West Ham then we will struggle.

There's always been this idea that Isak wouldn't be the same player if he didn't have Murphy providing so man assists, and that is evidently true. But by the same process, Murphy isn't going to be the same player when you have a withdrawn striker who isn't always ready in the penalty box to receive the cross. I think he will look better when Wissa is available. Still don't rate him though, just don't think he's a good enough footballer for the really elite clubs.

Was just about to post the same. When you see how far wide it starts out it seems impossible to come back in that far. Must be that 50p head that imparted the spin.
-
Can't complain really. You want to keep the best players, you have be in the CL every year, and pay top wages. That's not us yet. Might be the next cycle of players who can be offered all that.
-
We can definitely win it. Do I expect us to? No.
