Pretty much. At least we didn't lose, but when you keep a clean sheet, all you really need is one guy up front who can take a chance. It's not like we even needed more than a single goal.

I don't think he would half arse it personally. What he's doing is a calculated gamble to get a move to a club where he will double his salary, and he gets the chance to win multiple trophies including the CL. If the window closes without him getting his move, he'll be just as calculated and play to win like always. It does him no good to rot in the reserves in a world cup year, or not be playing PL football. I think we'd LIKE to have replaced him with someone who could at least have potential to be a top striker, but Pedro, Ekitike and Sesko went elsewhere. You can keep going down the list, but at some point you are gambling your season on hoping 5th or 6th choice might come off.

Fair play to them tbh, they made a lot of signings from abroad, and that has probably changed the club culture from "Brexit and Proud" to something a bit more modern, and it's long overdue. Their manager probably has a lot to do with it. Obviously I still hope they get battered every week from now on, but credit where it's due.

Any defender would be scared of him. His touch sometimes lets him down, but he's always looking for one which will take a player out so those are going to be more risky. But if it comes off, it leaves defences exposed. Very dangerous player, even with the rough edges.

He's one of the cleverest blokes I've seen on tv, don't think our politicians could hold a candle to him. He never gets drawn into making a statement which will come back on him, just handles everything so smoothly. I'm in awe.

I am going to be in the minority but I like the away kit. Really strong colours, although would prefer to see us in our first team shirts when the colours don't clash.

That's fair. He did catch that really well. He has fabulous techqnique when he strikes the ball.

Problem is he's a one trick pony. He doesn't have the pace to go outside, so ends up cutting inside every time, and defenders are ready for it. He did try to go outside once but couldn't get by the defender and got easily blocked. Good technique when he can find some time and space though.

I hope not. But he's been a lot more dangerous than Murphy on the ball, clearly terrorisng the Villa defence, just needs to find some end product.

We've played some really good football tbf, just a shame none of the front lads have got their shooting boots on. Should have scored even without a striker.
