By Sep 1st Isak will be desperate to play, once it hits home Liverpool aren't stumping up enough cash, he'll come cap in hand himself to Eddie I reckon. A new deal will get sorted with a release clause which will give him a good shot at leaving next summer. He has given it his best shot to get his move, but once it's over he'll get on with it and play the season. He'll have to play at 100% otherwise Howe will just keep picking Wissa instead.

I think it's just the age thing with Wissa. Paying £40m for someone who's pushing 29 probably sticks in the craw a bit, but he is the real deal.

Liverpool haven't walked away, but I think it's looking like they will only buy Isak at a certain price, probably no more than £130m at a push. Even then they don't know if we would sell so no wonder their leaks have stopped and it is all on Isak now to try and force our hand. They probably realise it's not happening.

Difficult to see it as a done deal when there are no replacements we can sign. I think that's part of the reason why Isak is going scorched earth. Him and his agent are getting desperate. Not sure Liverpool are all in though unless they get a big discount.

Seems a long time since Willock was able to run at players, in our CL qualification season a couple of years ago, he was doing that at will.

Beginning to agree with this. Although unless there's other clubs about to move on Jackson, we can probably afford to wait on Wissa a bit longer given he's the finished product and will give us guaranteed goals more or less.

Just watched a highlights video seeing as it's all but done...looks like he can crack them with both feet. I recommend watching the highlights video for this one, you can see why Howe has jumped in, could be a really good player.
