Jesus wept. He was on the pitch for about 10 minutes if that. In that 10 mins he did over-dribble and lose the ball twice which was disappointing. I hope he's got a better football brain than that and it was just him settling.

Amobis' hatrick means he won't get a look in for the next month or so.
-
Maybe having second thoughts after seeing a couple of decent performances?
-
He's a name, he's a good looking black man with a huge appeal to the gay community, he is a marketable face. Words that can describe him: Fresh Physical Intelligent You don't pikc up those guys on teh cheap even when they're old and clearly shit. Shit answer You do know who you're dealing with I presume? I just hope it isn't really Alan Shearer

Suggest someone better

He'll play a few matches when and where he feels like it is the word I'm hearing.
-
Well at least you've chosen a good moment to come out of the woodwork.
-
Well, if Nolan can get away with claiming to be 26 why not?
-
Yeah I agree it was another awful day in the life and times of NUFC.

But what good is pace when every time you get the ball you stop and pull it back to someone who has a footballing brain? If he goes he'll not be a loss. If you can't see what Jonas brings to the team then you're fucking blind. Who'd you play there instead of him, then? Geremi. His legs have gone but he can cross a ball which would be much more desirable considering the two lads we have up front. I was one of the biggest JG fan boys going after his first few matches but the novelty has worn off. He has pace but much like Martins he does fuck all with it. He can't cross, pass, shoot, stay on his feet in a strong breeze etc. The last time I saw someone with so little control over his limbs he was wearing fucking calipers. Players like Geremi need players like Jonas. Or don't you think so?

I meant for a target man he didnt really bully his marker, his first touch was the same old same old, and don't remember him holding up the ball and setting up an attack. It was obviously a good performance - as he scored all his chances but it's not a sign that he has suddenly turned a corner in his NUFC career. Like i say he took his eyes of the ball for the first goal it could of gone anywhere, and the third was a penalty. His 2nd goal was very good, the header and the way he lost his marker that was the only thing he did really well at tbh. Scoring pens isn't a given either. It takes balls to step up and takes balls to put them away. It might just have been his day today, but for that alone let's give him some credit.

At least he was marking the players well enough to get turned.

Why else would you have those seating arrangements? random? What was random about it?

If you notice, he likes to mark his man tightly and follow him everywhere, a la boumsong. One up top suits colo. He's been brought up on man-marking rather than zonal, which is why I have always thought he is a good natural defender. To do that though everybody needs to be on the same page.

His running was comical though. Most professional footballers can jog quicker

The highlights are shit tbh. I miss Premier + for that reason only.
-
If it's true and they can close the deal then fair play I say. As long as it's not Ashley having second thoughts after a good start to the season.
-
Yeah I have to agree. I just can't imagine any other reason why Moat would be sat between Llambias and Ashley with all three looking so content.
-
He'd be rock solid, the forwards in this league don't have enough about them to take advantage of his lessening mobility.
-
He came in for a lot of stick last week but on the floor he's a pretty good defender when he can be arsed.
-
Think this will be our toughest test so far. They are quite a big side so might be a scrappy game and we'll have to defend the set pieces well.
-
Smith was winning a hell of a lot of aerial battles in the centre circle today. I don't know if that was just down to Reading's lack of height but it was good to see.

We couldn't afford his wages, can't believe there's much chance of this happening after we are getting shot of so many big earners. It just wouldn't make sense.
