Beating the keeper isn't an exact science. It's about instinct, judgement in a split second, and of course the keeper will have his own part to play. It might just have been a really good save. Obviously Callum could have just put it where the keeper wasn't in hindsight. Hit it with your right! Hit it High! etc.
  2. Not their fault, but it was really not a good day to celebrate Bobby Robson's imaginary 90th birthday when we lost a player some our current sqad and management team worked with.

Gordon's pass was perfect. Wilson had a shot saved by a flailing leg. Everyone can do better in hindsight.

    Joelinton

Eddie was so right to take him off. He's not just a beast defensively, he actually has great feet in tight situations when bringing the ball out.

When I say if you were ever a forward/striker I mean in real life not Champ Manager or whatever it is called these days.

Yes if you were ever a forward you would understand it.
  7. It should have been. Been back to St James a few times post-Howe after a long time, and it just feels like rich people are buying tickets because they can, and a few years ago they would have been buying tickets to watch Chelsea.

I thought we looked better when he came on. He links play quickly, makes good decisions on the ball to move it with maximum efficiency, and even missed the chance in the right way if there is such a thing.
  9. I really don't know how some have failed to grasp this point even after the fight we went through to get here. If I'm not wrong, pretty sure Man City were one of the clubs who abstained from voting for the closed shop ESL. Clubs like Man U, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool don't want competition, they feel entitled to rule forever on the back of a couple of recent decades of success. These fuckers didn't even want relegation or promotion involved, that's how pernicious their intent was.
  10. In a game we didn't want to lose, he probably should have been a bit more conservative tbh, and that was borne out in the second half when we played really effectively on the counter with only 10 men. But what the fuck, he hasn't got much wrong, he can point to the table as testament to that.
  11. I think we can still finish 4th tbh, Liverpool were less impressive than I thought, and they are still 6pts behind us. Spurs aren't convincing, and Chelsea are a car crash at the moment. Obviously they all have better squads than us, but we have some character, and we could easily put a string of wins together like we did earlier in the season, and last season.
  12. Aye the missus was putting on a brave face but she broke down a bit towards the end and it was not easy to watch.
  13. Strangely I feel more confident about this game than before the loss today. I think we showed tremendous spirit when down to 10 men, and with Willock, Wilson and Bruno hopefully coming back in, we'll go into the final with some fire in our belly.

What a story. Would love to see him play in the final, have a good game and finally put that CL final behind him. That would make him a hero for me twice over since I hate Liverpool.
  15. Because a good striker will sometimes look for the spot the keeper can't get to. If anything the only mistake he made was not lifting it a touch. But hey, even the best strikers are going to miss the odd one.
  16. I wonder if that twat Klopp can manage to show some grace and appreciation of the opposition for once in his myopic life?
  17. There was a bit of that about it, even if they felt they were showing respect. It's not what I wanted to hear at that point.
  18. Thought we did well second half all things considered. Very hard to pull anything back after that disastrous first 20 mins.
  19. Thank fuck for that, I've had enough of people taking the piss out of my sieve memory, looking forward to joeyt pulling you up on some anal fact or three in the coming months.
  20. Nothing unfortunate about it - well not for us, I do feel a teensy bit sorry for Forest fans. Thanks for bringing some joy on a miserable Saturdayt afternoon though, If I could have liked that post 10x I would have done.
  21. I'll forgive him tbh, he's a legend there, and he's a decent enough man not to disrespect us either. Unlike the grinning goofball who is currently their manager.
  22. I would have thought the loan fee would count towards the total price if the move became permanent. Surely Forest's negotiating team weren't THAT stupid?
  23. Aye he is a class act. Will be great to see him back up here.
  24. Didn't even know that, just a sad day for our club, and others who he turned out for.
