Within 5 minutes of watching my first champo game in donkeys, stewart downing whips in a god awful corner and grant leadbitter chops some random in half at 100mph. Good ol' champo.

It's comical when people talk about "rabid, obsessed, fascinated HBA lovers", when in fact it's the "rabid, obsessed, fascinated HBA haters" who constantly start this argument every 3 months. Coming out with outrageous statements like the fuckwit in my sig, yet they expect it to slide. Get to fuck. that's nothing short of ridiculous like. Why would I hate Ben Arfa? I just don't get why people still fascinate about him. This thread is exactly that. We should have moved on from him is all I am saying and I didn't / don't understand why people haven't. It's like Ben Arfa is some sort of untouchable messiah. Very peculiar. Moved on to...? Never ending mediocrity (at best)?

Aye but that's a fucking shit saying. If I had a glass of milk and 12 glasses of shit, I'd rightly be bawling my fucking eyes out if Mike Ashley gave my fucking milk away.

I must admit I find it hard to be overly aroused by a player we're borrowing from Chelsea.

He is/was incredibly entertaining and a joy to watch. He's a lingering subject because there's no closure. The end of his career here made absolutely no sense given what he was capable of in every game. He was our best player and then he was gone for free. I can understand that, but there are other exciting talents to watch. I personally find the fanaticism that surrounds him on here baffling though. I don't think I know a single NUFC fan in person that gives a shit about Ben Arfa anymore. Each to their own I guess... We've had nee1 anywhere near as sexy as HBA for decades. Even when we had some good players, they weren't flair players like Hatem. And right now we've got absolutely fuck all.

Class player fucked over by (still existing) regime and manager. And we're still shit. why would there not be a fascination?

Happy for anyone to be thrown under a bus personally. Tournament football. Kane can't hit a barn door like '16 when we face choonisia? bench the cunt. Pickford shits the bed, bring in the next useless cunt. Keep doing it until Steve Harper gets a callup if we have to.

Certain things are better in each country, but it sounds like ujpest didn't venture far outside of IHOP.

Why talk about that when it's not what happened seemed that way to me. also, do we var encroachment in the box on pens? urrghh, yeah that's shit with people going in box early. That and the shoving that goes on with corners will always be rarely picked up on. Anyway, ball wasn't punted away when it happened. I mean, the ball was punted away, but that's the most supporting angle for your argument. There is a prior angle that shows the ball a couple of feet in-front of him and travelling at some pace. Not really an argument worth having tbh. As far as I'm concerned the ball wasn't playable at this point and it comes under the "coming together" remit. People get stood on all the time. It didn't stop him doing anything of note as he was never getting another touch on the ball. I would also argue, that VAR was supposed to be for clear/obvious/mega-blatant decisions. I find it hard to classify this under one of those categories.

Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition
SEMTEX replied to OzzieMandias's topic in Football
Any worse than being decided by a completely wrong decision by a human? SkySports released some data recently; in making decisions - VAR has an accuracy of 98.8% and referees have an accuracy of 99.2%. Assistant referees are at 98%. Is it worth slowly our game down to a ridiculous mess like rugby to improve assistant refereeās decision making by 0.8%? So refs get a sample size of every single decision, where as VAR gets a sample of only-the-most-contentious-decisions, and we're supposed to think they're comparable numbers? In fact, in the VAR review that the 98.8% figure is taken from, they state that: "The accuracy of reviewable decisions has increased by 5.8% to 98.8%. 100% accuracy is impossible due to human perception and subjectivity in decision-making" I however do not know why they spaced their PDF like that -
You mean LA Galaxy to Zlatan

And: Haven't done this yet. Yeah, that unread arrow is good. No idea why they didn't just use that to go to the last page if you've already read the thread.
