My first game since the Rafa era too. I'm not expecting much from us but really, what I'm looking forward to the most is just walking up those steps to my seat and seeing St James' Park in its full (cleaned up) glory and finally being back home.

The main improvement I've seen so far is we seem to be actually closing down the opposition a lot more defensively compared to previous matches (though that should be one of the basics anyway).

Not too keen on the personnel chosen but Jones did say yesterday that the players will "know their jobs" so I'm hoping that it'll be more the system/tactics that gets us through today.

It's clear as day that the consortium will want Bruce binned off soon and this press conference "performance" will certainly solidify that view. When he does get given his marching orders, I have no doubt that he'll quickly become yesterday's news and the mainstream media won't give a fuck about him anymore and move on to the next story worth reporting.

Come to think of it, what with new owners, has Craig Hope's ban been lifted? If so and Bruce does end up speaking to the media tomorrow, I hope Craig gets the opportunity to have a go at Bruce and destroy him.

Bruce will probably get officially "summoned" later on to St James' or wherever a temporary office has been set up to be told of his dismissal (here's hoping anyway).

I've been trying to watch an episode of Squid Game for the past hour, I keep pausing it every 5 minutes to go back to this thread!

Even then though, what logical reason is there for any sort of support for Bruce? Can understand a positive reception for the players / the team and being back at St James' Park but giving Bruce some love in is not at all acceptable.
