  1. Just seen the Arsenal score, that's quite a comeback!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He was poor when he came on yesterday. It was a case of trying to "do too much" I reckon though his attacking play was positive enough. Some people around me were getting restless with the lad though. Seriously, some people are just idiots (though are probably overridden by emotion/frustration tbf). The way I see it though is that he just needs a fucking run of games. As silly as it sounds, it might have to take an injury to Raylor/Obertan for Ben Arfa to actually get a chance. Having said that though, there's 3 months/12 games left for Pardew to do the right thing. The likes of Raylor/Obertan have been given enough opportunities, it's time to give Hatem that extended run of games he desperately needs.

    St James' Park

Hmmm, credit to Wraith for doing "something" I guess but at the same time, it is properly cringeworthy.
  4. His reluctance to run at the opposition is really getting frustrating tbh. Still don't mind him as such, defensively he's a much better full back from Raylor (though for a player who supposedly has "pace", Simpson was skinned quite a bit by the Wolves player on the wing, hmmm) but his attacking is virtually non-existant and he is probably the weakest player out of a full-strength starting 11. I'm all for an upgrade in the summer like but in the meantime, I would still start him at RB. Got to say though, wouldn't be averse to Santon starting at RB and Ferguson starting at LB. If we do sign a new RB (or Tavernier steps it up), I wouldn't mind keeping Simpson as back up tbh. Aye, really think competition will do him a bit of good. There has been a hint of complacency there tbh. Yeah, I'm hoping that there is still some potential in him somewhere but the signs aren't looking too good.....really looks like he's average at best.
  5. He was poor yesterday aye and his weaknesses have been exposed quite a bit this season but he is still our best option at CB (alongside Colo of course) atm. I like him so I'll continue put my trust in him to do a a decent job but he should have really done better against that Wolves team. He does have a decent reading of the game and he has been solid at times but he's unfortunately not on the same level as Saylor.

    Danny Guthrie

Was terrible when he came on. Couldn't believe what I was seeing tbh, he was a completely different player to the one we saw over the last two months or so - he kept giving the ball away and his passing was shite. Though, it may actually be down to a confidence issue as some have suggested, that is, dropped = unhappy mindset and that really affected his performance. Felt somewhat sorry for Guthrie like, it was harsh to drop him but honestly, Cabaye and Tiote are a class above him.
  7. The Wolves destroyer tbh. But apart from his goal, he was pretty poor. He did try his best but most of his forward runs essentially came to nothing. Good thing we had Santon there - Davide was the focal point of attack on the left wing really.
  8. So fucking disappointing. We completely fucked that one up! En-route to the N-O piss up, will probably vent a lot of frustration there.
  9. Will be great to see him back in the black and white stripes tomorrow. We have definitely missed him like, our lack of steel in CM has been a problem recently.
  10. As this rate, it looks like he's never going to be selected!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Aye, my wild guess is that Hatem refuses to put any sort of effort in physical training. We've heard how little Shane has to beef up and in fairness Ben Arfa's frame isn't much bigger. To me, Ben Arfa looks more muscled now (only slightly though) than he was when we first signed him. The lad does have some good strength, he does, at times, hold up the ball well.
  12. Btw, the way Wolves have handled their managerial search has really been a farce. "This job isn't for a novice, etc.".

    Other clubs' transfers

What a waste of a player currently in his peak. Could easily be playing for a top 4 team in the Prem. If the move goes through, Samba will probably lose a bit of respect from quite a lot of people (myself included). that'll teach him. Yep.
