I think it would be hilarious if Man Utd won the CL and Liverpool finished 4th and had to go into the Europa. Haven't they changed the rules now whereby even if a team outside the CL qualifying places in the league wins the CL that whoever in 4th place still qualifies? Other way round isn't it? I'm not 100% certain but I'm sure the rules have changed so that we don't get a repeat of the Chelsea-Spurs situation in 2012? EDIT: or was it that rule change after Liverpool won it in 2005? Confused.

All credit to Williamson, he's really kicked on since his appearance against Everton in September and has re-established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet (the last thing I expected after his horror shows last season). Like any other player, he has his weaknesses but he has reinforced his strengths and has also seemingly taken on a leadership role in defence. He seems a lot more confident this year too which can only be a good thing.

His passing is terrible at times though, he gives it away so often. Not sure i've seen a player make the wrong choices so many times in a game. The lad has something but his brain is holding that back imo. I'm thinking that he uses up a bit too much energy at times when going on those surging forward runs - by the time he has to make a decision, he's probably a bit knackered that his outlet becomes more likely than not a laboured pass.

Massive, massive relief that. Whilst there is a far bigger picture to look at, I'm still going to enjoy that win and enjoy the rest of the day. I've found that my passion for the club hasn't completely gone (celebrated like a madman when Remy scored) which is a relief too.
