  1. I'm glad I don't have to listen to Mick Lowes' commentary week in, week out.
  2. Look up. sorry, it was meant more in a "team pls win today" kind of way Dolan fail tbf That makes sense! I'm still half asleep.
  3. It seems so, for me any sort of involvement today would have meant that he had a slim chance of having a future here but alas it's not to be, what an absolute shame.
  4. Stability Clause: "A clause that may be included in a non-proportional reinsurance treaty, providing for the indexation of monetary limits (i.e. the excess point and/ or the upper limit) in line with a specified index of inflation."
  5. What coverage is there of this? Just BBC Radio Newcastle I guess? Pretty worried about this game if I'm being honest - the Solskjaer/new manager effect and all that shite.
  6. ^ My feelings about a Ba return are still the same. He's a proven goalscorer in this league and would no doubt improve our frontline, especially when we've seen that he can score goals out of nothing.
  7. Only just seen the tackle there - whilst he does get the ball, the manner in which he does so was dangerous. Having two feet off the ground when attempting to do a slide tackle is just asking for trouble - if he got any of the player there, it would have been a leg breaker, no doubt so it was a deserved red card. Such an idiotic challenge but the unfortunate thing is that it was a rush of blood to the head which Debuchy (and Cabaye) is prone to on the rare occasion (though it is usually on the back of frustration...).

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Judging from the comments raised during the Fans Forum thing, if the Cups are really not the priority, will we see Ben Arfa start next weekend in the FA Cup? I'd definitely start him like, regardless of the competition.
  9. Great start to the New Year then...but one can hope that we can regain a bit of confidence against Cardiff - we need some sort of momentum going into the City game at St. James'.
  10. I guess the least said about today the better then? (Didn't watch the game you see).
  11. With the current squad and with no new additions/departures: 7th. With the current squad plus a new striker and no departures: 6th.
  12. I didn't think we were too bad, we huffed and puffed as much as we could in the second half (after what was a decent enough first half) and I'd say we pretty much matched Arsenal throughout the game. Hopefully the players aren't too disheartened by today - the effort and work ethic was there. Unfortunately a mistake on our part cost us dearly but don't think we would have won the game really, both us and Arsenal cancelled each other out and I'd say it would have finished 0-0 on another day.
  13. Whilst today could have gone a lot better, for us to be above the 2011/12 line at the halfway point of the season is still a canny achievement. Have to push on and have a somewhat productive transfer window. One new striker (a target man preferably to support Remy) and we should have just about enough tools to push on.
  14. After his fifth red card in 18 months or something yesterday It's funny you say that, the L'Equipe article says that he's retiring as a player because "he's a target for referees."
  15. Edgar Davids has officially retired.
  16. He's blatantly going to appoint himself as manager. Tan's worse than those goons (the Italian guys) at QPR.
