Did they have to time it from the end of our Fun88 contract? Wish they’d have started it this summer so we could crack on with the new improved deal!
-
Bruce did a good job on us, but a terrible job for us. It's important to be clear with the small words that communicate the big difference.
-
Yep, he's shown he has a proficient knee-slide celebration. It's a yes from me!
-
Dodgy ankle and still the best CM in the league. Other prem midfielders must be gutted reading that

In his welcome video Schar said to Gordon that Gordon needed to earn Schar’s protection. As far as I’m concerned he’s still yet to earn it. Needs to wind his neck in or let Schar on him one v one after training Schar came through years of Bruce abuse. I can’t imagine he takes nicely to seeing Gordon treat Sir Eddie like that!

Man Utd win for me. We don’t need to finish above both teams, only 1 of them. If both us and Manure beat Spurs it knocks Spurs out of the race. So I want Manure win first, draw second.
-
Of course he does. He said 78 over! That’s over par, not over 0 as in taking no shots at all. Golf’s a brutal sport get out whilst you can!
-
Beardsley and Ben Arfa in the same team would be brutally unfair on the opposition.
-
I’ve only seen the brief highlight of the goal on sky website. Can someone tell me if Willock made the appropriate knee-slide in his celebration?!
-
That’s the same list of criterion I’d use to decide the top Labrador at Crufts! McDomino is a dog of a player to be fair!

Why does Tripps not get a 10? Best right back for us in my 30 years of supporting. Burn rating seems harsh also given he was cheap, kept us up, got us to a cup final and launched a top 4 tilt.
-
If you’re impressed with Bruno’s English, you wanna see my Brazilian!
-
Possibly, but it’s never usually a switch to Maxi, it’s round the back 4 then Burn drills it to him from 50 yards away
-
Glad you showed this pass map. It was clear as day against Bournemouth. So hard for Maxi in this unbalanced inflexible system. To be at his best he needs to be picking up the ball opposite Bruno, in the deeper left half space

Meanwhile, the Ben Foster wishes he never retired to pursue his irrelevant podcast

After winning and enjoying countless league titles, cups, deep champions league runs and so increasing their profile, attractiveness and commercial revenue. Can an FFP fine really undo all the good they’ve gained by breaking it?

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Brendon’s got a baby, but Brendon hasn’t got a brain; a damn shame, the guy can’t even spell his name! -
I would t say they had plenty of ball, the odd turnover from a midfield tackle was about it. And our midfield hasn’t been giving inroads into our defence all season. West Ham was the same. So was Arsenal and Manure away. Edit: I appreciate Bruno’s been part of those last 2 results. Just saying our midfield has been effective as a defensive shield and a method to progress to the final third, Bruno or not.
-
Nah we do it lack everything. West Ham had 1 shot on target, from a set piece. Bournemouth barely threatened and couldn’t get through our midfield. Defensively the midfield works. It also gives a platform for us to get up for the final third of the pitch (which was lacking last year and was why Howe wanted and used Wood). I agree our current midfield lacks creativity in the final third. The whole team does though. Both the system and the individuals not quite right in that third
-
You are definitely right. The quality of player we had shows Pardew didn’t believe in coaching. With the right setup and mentality, that team could have controlled and dominated play against way more teams and challenged for the title. My lovely Eddie Howe would have that team progressing whilst being in Europe the following year and giving a real fight to the top 2.
-
I’ve no real idea about JWP and you’re probably right he’s not good enough for us. But the list of players dominated by Bruno, one of the best midfielders in the EPL and so world, is hugely long like. I’d still take players dominated by him. Just like I’m still happy with Joelinton and Longy even if Rice seemingly dominated them
-
A lot of this makes sense. But doesnt address the argument that Shelvey shouldn't have been released, or to apply your logic in full to this scenario, with Shelvey our squad would be stronger than it is without him, and so we'd be more likely to accumulate the 70-80 points needed for champions league this year. And i can't imagine the long term signings we want to sign in the summer who we think are so pivotal to our future, are going to turn their noses up at signing for us now because we reached champions league too early.
-
We know now. Even if a gamble pays off, there’s still the risk that’s been undertaken. I see no need to make this risk, unless the gains in the summer are guaranteed to be massive. If next September we’re sat having signed Rice and Bellingham I’ll say fair play risking only achieving Europa Conference for a year was worth it. (I appreciate that level of player is unrealistic but it illustrates the point that even gambles that pay off are not truly successful until you can see what you win on the other side)

I love our “Club” at the moment and see no need to revert to a “Cloob!”
