  1. The winger could well be moses, rafa worked with him before and for the best out of him iirc.
  2. think we'll see hanley and lascelles as the centre back pairing tomorrow.
  3. this. get rid or keep him a million miles away.
  4. we had nolan, the end. pretty sure barton only got 1 that season (free kick i think?) and i'd back diame to outscore both guthrie and raylor, and ritchie to outscore them all. lets not pretend we had plenty of goals from midfield last time, nolan aside, we really didn't. 35 goals from midfield is quite a lot like, Nolan got just under half of those. totally agree on nolan, but ritchie could quite feesibly hit/surpass his figures. the others mentioned, guthrie got 4, barton got 1, raylor got 4. Diame did that on his own for hull last season. they were hardly prolific. On one hand you're saying they weren't prolific, then saying we should ignore the one who was. As a unit they were, it doesn't matter so much where they come from individually, in fact it's better if they all get a few as it means we don't lose out so much when injuries hit. Put it this way, I'll be absolutely f***ing astonished if we score 35 goals from midfield this season. I'm not saying that at all, I'm saying the ones in the example, Nolan aside, hit fairly average figures. I've qualified my point on Nolan by saying I think Ritchie will match him, which i do. Then, as long as we can match the relatively average (pathetic in Bartons case) figures the rest of the players in the example hit, then we'll do as well as we did then. Put it this way, Ritchie can match Nolan and diame, as I said earlier, hit as many as the others in the example combined. To suggest the midfield last time was better equipped to score goals than the midfield this time, isnt correct, imo, for the reasons above.

  7. this cunt been sacked yet?
  8. he has like. he looks totally disinterested for a start. Honestly doesn't look like he gives two f***s. I know he's always looked a huffy c*** but his 'demeanour' is really reflected in his game at the minute. His career is in serious danger of going down the pan here. I'd say he's at quite a serious crossroads. My opinion is he's done. The fresh start to a new club didn't kick him into action, the captaincy didn't, Rafa arrival didn't, being in a league he should destroy (so far) hasn't. Think he'll end up in the Stephen Ireland category of very talented, but ultimately flash in the pan, daft cunts.
  9. He could play out wide but he's been more of a withdrawn forward when I've seen him. He'd be great off Mitro imho. Not sure where that would leave Gayle though tbh. On the bench hopefully fucking hell man
  10. I don't mean to call you out because you're far from the only one, but are you all this negative with other things in life? If so, there's a lot of miserable b******s on here. It's two games, we still have one of the best squads in the league, we probably will get at least one more in, and we have the best manager in the league by some distance. We may not walk the league like everyone thought, but we have 44 games to go. Let's all calm down a bit and have a little faith in the first quality manager we've had in over a decade.
  11. Agreed. We've got to bring wide men in. Have a feeling we will.
  12. Precisely. Writing gayle off after two games is as stupid as it gets tbh. No, hang on, writing Clark off before we've even seen him is more stupid. It's two games, hasn't been great, but we've got one of the best managers in Europe to sort it out. Everyone chill the fuck out and stop pretending you've seen enough of the likes of grant Hanley, sels and ciaran Clark etc to qualify questioning the recruitment at this stage.
  13. What's Victor moses doing these days? Rafa had him at Chelsea didn't he? He'd be another superb addition
  14. We've got a superb manager, the best we're ever likely to get. He's trying to turn around a loser club from top to bottom. He'll fix it, have faith in that. Things obviously need to change, and I'm sure they will, he'll be ruthless in his quest to get it right, the bloke will do anything within his power to ensure he doesn't have egg on his face, make no mistake about it.
  15. Trust him. He'll get it right.
  16. i've seen him play for their reserves a few times, him and periera (spelling?) always the stand outs.
  17. this may have already been posted, but sky said the hand shake between benitez and colback 'wasn't the friendliest' , although the camera didnt show it. hopefully he gave rafa a load of abuse and we'll never see the little cunt again.
  18. I'd usually say the mitro story is bollocks, but it's written by John Richardson, who has close ties to benitez. He called the benitez to stay situation perfectly.
