  1. I know a lot of people like Emre but in reality he wasn't worth keeping, I'm glad he looks like going and wish him luck in the future.
  2. It's possible that he could do an Owen but I doubt it, I'd rather take the cash than the chance.
  3. At this rate he'll spend more of the next 6 months in court than jail.
  4. The most used things in his locker are the injury excuse book and the sick note, if he goes and we get a fee then we've done well. Emre has turned out to have been a terrible signing.
  5. I'll comment on this transfer window when it's closed, not after our first signing and it doesn't matter if we splash £30,000,000 or £30 on our first player.
  6. We should be breaking records in the way Brian Clough did, what would we give to watch players of the calibre of Ian Wallace, Peter (I think) Ward, Justin Fashanu, that's the way I want to see us go.
  7. Ginola £2,500,000 transfer fee.
  8. The pan of milks on the boil so it'll not be much longer.
  9. You'll delete the posts and replies tonight when it's quiet.
  10. They won the FA Cup 4 years after we won the Fairs Cup.

    Euro 96

Pity we didn't have a better manager at the time, England would have won the tournament if we'd had Sir Bobby.
  12. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/sundaysun/tm_headline=i-8217-m-here-to-stay-beye%26method=full%26objectid=20974816%26siteid=72703-name_page.html I’m here to stay: Beye by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle HABIB BEYE gave the Toon Army some heartwarming news today when he revealed he was happy to commit his future to Newcastle United. Beye lifted the Evening Chronicle’s player of the season award last week after 50% of the Toon fans who took part in our poll voted for him, finishing ahead of second-placed Nicky Butt by a considerable margin. And with United yet to break the ice in the transfer market this summer, Beye’s vow to extend his stay on Tyneside beyond the remaining two years on his contract will be music to many fans’ ears. The dependable overlapping full-back turned heads in the Premier League last season, despite some dark days for Newcastle, and he dovetailed perfectly into Kevin Keegan’s positive, attacking style of play. United fans will be pleased to know that Beye was not selected to take part in Senegal’s hectic summer schedule in which they will pack in four World Cup qualifiers against Liberia (twice), Algeria and Gambia – all to be played in baking hot weather. Beye will spend the summer recharging his batteries for a new season at United and he told the Chronicle: “Even after my contract is finished here, I’d like to stay beyond it. “Playing for Marseille was a fantastic experience but Newcastle is a special club for me. “We wanted to finish last season strongly and already we are looking forward to next year.” The Former Marseille skipper may have won a place in the hearts of Geordies, but just like them he knows that 12th place will not be enough to satisfy them again next term. And he admits he is much more used to life at the business end of the table. He says: “I’m very happy to play for Newcastle. “Sometimes you have some difficulties, but you learn all the time when you play football. “This season has been different for me. “When I played for Marseille, I played in the Champions League and this year we had to fight to keep Newcastle in the Premiership. “But you learn all the time and I’m really enjoying playing for Newcastle. I want to stay and spend a long time here.” Since Keegan’s return to Newcastle, the happy atmosphere at the club’s Benton HQ has been noticeable and Beye wants that feel-good factor to transfer to the stands next term. He said: “All the people are very friendly. For me it has been a good season because I’ve played all the time. “I think the manager is happy with my work and wants us to progress all the time. “Playing for Newcastle is good and I want play well all the time. “We have very good fans and we need to win a lot of games for them.”
