We need to set the team up at home to go all out attack and hope we can keep the pressure on the opposition, we need a high scoring game against somebody, one in our favour. I'm not sure the next home game is the one to try it but getting anything from it seems unlikely.
-
I'm sure that was our fans booing because they knew what was coming, fans of other clubs don't boo, it' just us who does that.

I hate those shitty football manager games that people play but here goes for next week. Harper, Beye, Faye, Cacapa or Taylor, Enrique, Milner, Emre, Lua Lua, N'Zogbia, Martins or Viduka, Owen
-
Harper doesn't let us down once he's had a few games, he should never have been dropped earlier in the season.
-
I agree about Carr but some of those other replacements are as bad as those who they would replace. Viduka doesn't do enough when fit but is better, Shola might even be worse than Smith, he's scored goals but how long ago was that? Martins would do more but he needs to raise his game, I'd also like to know why he's not back here yet, his bad ankle shouldn't stop him flying back, he wouldn't have to walk. Emre has been here for almost 3 years and has done nothing, Geremi isn't even here to replace Butt. Don't get me wrong, we could replace them but some of the replacements are hardly better than those that they would replace.
-
What would he replace them with? I think he will drop them but possibly not until he replaces them in the summer. Carr, I'm sure he'll be dropped unless Enrique or Beye are not fit. Smith, might get dropped for Viduka but he doesn't offer enough as he's too slow (or lazy) and always injured. Butt might get dropped for Emre but he's hardly much better, I'd rather see a kid or two get a game, at least they'll be hungry.

Keegan is probably to blame for picking Carr, what he's not to blame for is not knowing what most of us knew about Carr considering he's done very little wrong while Keegan has picked him. Maybe Terry Mac did tell Keegan to pick Carr on the left, like you I can only guess. Pearson leaving? I don't see a connection between Pearson leaving and today when we actually played well during the firt half. Not picking Faye is a puzzle.
-
I disagreed with all of the bold, except possibly for the Faye comment, that's why I highlighted it.
-
Playing him twice in in a few days would have done him no good at all.
-
So I was right, I only went looking for 1 then stopped, I don't know if anybody else was as bad. Edit. Here's a Keegan is shit. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=49846.msg1198835#msg1198835

Having read the original post, you probably do.

I'm starting to act like a parrot now. Keegan was forced to pick Carr for a few weeks, Carr didn't do too bad in those games so it looks like a player coming back from injury was protected by using a player who hadn't done too bad while playing for the manager who picked him. You can hardly blame Keegan if those around him are giving him bad advice, he'll learn but will have to accept advice until he gains his own knowledge of those at his disposal, even then, he’s still only got the players at the club.
-
He's been here a few weeks so I can understand why he played some of the players which have brought him some criticism. As I said, I’ll blame him if he picks the same players against Man U as he picked today, although he’ll have no option but to pick some of them as we’re so thin on numbers.
-
Keegan was forced to play Carr when Beye was in Africa, Carr didn't let him down so he played a fit Carr in preference to Enrique who is coming back from injury, think about it. No one is calling for Keegan's head? http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=49846.msg1198760#msg1198760

We've got some idiots on this forum, Keegan had been here a few weeks and we already see calls for his head. We played much better first half and fell to bits once Carr, Duff and Given screwed up. Given should only get back in if Harper is injured, I don't care how good he's been in the past, and he has been good but this season he's been a liability for most of the time. Carr should never play again, I will absolve Keegan of any blame for him being shit today because Keegan was forced to play Carr with Beye being away and he hasn't been that bad until today so how would Keegan know what to expect. Having said that, he's got people here who should have been giving him advice about how poor he's been for most of his time here. Nicky Butt boils my piss, he's so poor that he's not worth having for 75% of the game as he does nothing positive and gives possession away more often than not. Smith isn't fit to play for the reserves, he's absolute garbage at best. Barton isn't a very good footballer, what he has done well at in the past is getting into the opposition box and causing them problems, he's not doing that here so he contributes little or nothing. I don't blame Keegan at all for today but he's got to learn from this, he's got to learn that at least half of the team he played today should go in the summer. He's got to drop Given (if not injured), Taylor or Capaca, Carr, Butt, Duff or Milner and Smith for the next game. Carr (shit), Butt (past it) and Smith (poor player) shouldn't even be at the club next season, I'd also take bids for Given (past it), Barton (head case), Emre (done very little since signing), Duff (see Emre) and Viduka (always injured).

That's a first, the media distorting something about Newcastle.
-
It was never as bad as when they pulled the Leazes down the same season we were relegated, I'm sure we'd have came back up sooner if the Leazes had not been pulled down, the noise would have made a difference. I had mates who even stopped going because of it.

Beardsley wasn't in the reserves, he came back from Canada and played in the first or second game after returning when he came on as a sub at Barnsley, I was at the game. I was also at the Cardiff game with a few hundred (at a guess) others when he scored his first goal when we beat them, we spent the full 90 minutes trying to dodge stones that were being thrown at us from outside the ground. The police did nothing, they just stood against the back wall so nothing got near them and they only moved away to arrest Newcastle supporters when they picked up the stones and threw them back.

I tried it and we came 12th with 42 points. 1. Arsenal, 94 pts. 2. ManUtd, 89 pts. 3. Liverpool, 80 pts. 4. Chelsea, 76 pts. 5. Everton, 69 pts. 6. Portsmouth, 65 pts. 7. Man City, 65 pts. 8. Villa, 64 pts. 9. Blackburn, 57 pts. 10. Tottenham, 56 pts. 11. West Ham, 55 pts. 12. Newcastle, 42 pts. 13. Middlesbrough, 39 pts. 14. Sunderland, 32 pts. 18. Bolton, 30 pts. 19. Birmingham, 29 pts. 17. Reading, 29 pts. 15. Wigan, 28 pts. 16. Fulham, 22 pts. 20, Derby, 14 pts.

I remember the Floral Dance buy the Brighouse & Rastrick Band in the late 70's, everybody went mad when they played it.

Stairway to Heaven, Zepplin. I'm not into them but it's a classic if you can get the clips right as the tempo of the music changes.

I reminded him about when he met me and wondered if he'd remembered what we talked about because I had forgot.
