  1. 2 nil to us, end the weekend in the top 4. Carroll to have a mare
  2. Who was it that Liverpool binned Alonso off in favour for? I'm sure it was someone shit but cant put my finger on it
  3. Could spin this around - put together a first eleven (4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1) that covers the mosts clubs who have at any point been in the premier league. Or a journeymans special if you like. I'd start with Given - Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle, City, Villa, Middlesborough
  4. It should be easy to do it against QPR, but historically Pardew has always been capable of getting a result against one of the big boys due to sitting back and counter attacking, its been the QPRs of the world that he's struggled against - i.e. when the emphasis is on us to attack. Promising signs, there has been a noticable change in approach since the protests and I can't shake the notion that someone has made it very clear what is expected on the pitch. How much of the form is down to luck in personnel changes forced upon him and how much is sustainable remains to be seen
  5. Wouldn't surprise me if big fat Mike laid down an ultimatum after Stoke. Regardless of form we've never seen cisse, gouffran and williamson on the bench whilst the likes of perez start. He'll ultimately always have longer poor runs than good runs and will be pragmatic in his approach (being kind) but I've enjoyed the last few games for different reasons so I'll continue to ignore him. Also think the protests have had a good impact, even if they didn't achieve their primary aim
  6. Gillespie's injury cost us as much as anything that season. Took out 50% of our threat from out wide and made it easier to take Ginola out of games
  7. Obviously knew he was a scouser, but that voice threw me. Expected a squeaky little Carragher noise
  8. Is Vuckic dead or out on loan? This is usually the time of year for his solitary appearance
  9. Players with flaws. Don't care on the position, but any player that can be great but is not infallible. So basically the mid 90s Premier League where you could have a Kinkladze or a Wanchope come in and look great for poor teams. Even a Ginola for us, sublime skills but couldn't tackle for toffee. Simliarly a 'keeper like Pav above a Given, despite Shay being the better player. Even better when like Wanchope they can change the pronunciation of their name on a whim. Oh and the Mexican keeper from USA 90 - Jorge Campos I think
  10. 'The Terrace' is done in the Lonsdale logo there isn't it?
  11. Of course, I meant more to the dilution of the premier league rather then Glasgow hitting the super league
  12. Did our politicians offer that for the No vote? It would have been a game changer if they had seeing as Glasgow voted yes. But then you couldn't blame them for not believing a word Cameron says. Its going to happen at somepoint, either that or a European Super League starts up.
  13. Perhaps he's looking at Rangers and Celtic moving into the Premier League?
  14. No great surprise - we're damaging to their brand profile
  15. I've got to deliver one of those soon, happy to take on a bunch of underprivileged thick footballers
  16. Looked like that was that and he's a goner from the body language there
  17. Just very pleased to see you m'lud
