  1. You can flip it on its head (just look at Wolves last season or us for any previous appointment) when a manager is sacked and the chase for his replacement goes on in public, it looks horrible and amateurish. Its very likely that Pards has a confidentiality clause in his contract preventing him from saying anything about the talks going on before CH was sacked, so I have no feelings either way on this.
  2. Maybe I'm getting old and losing my memory, but going back to the 5-1 Mackems game where he looked the business... We didn't play long ball then did we? I've always thought he's a better player when its not hoofed to him and would fit our style of play now. I just wouldn't like to Marginalise anyone of Cabaye, Ben Arfa or Cisse to fit him in
  3. Keep Carroll in the Carrlol thread
  4. Taylor is still the first choice imo. I suppose CB is one position we could (and look like) strengthening for sub £10m just because of Taylor's injury record. If/When fit, he'd be expensive to upgrade on
  5. Debuchy - Douglas - Daddy - Davide
  6. Debuchy for Simpson? That's an upgrade on the scale of Fat Brian fro Westlife dumping Kerry for Delta. I honestly think now we would struggle to upgrade on any first teamer without spending massive dosh
  7. You've missed Perchino of both lists there. Showed he's more than able to cover at either fullback position last season
  8. G-Bar in Liverpool is a Gay bar is it not? I know its worng of me, but the idea of Joey getting 7 shades kicked out of him by a couple of screaming Alan Carr's is hilarious
  9. Cant see how the current Liverpool team will take to Rogers tactics like. Posession,Posession,Posession,Gerrard - 50 yard ball to no-one cos they were all on or behind the half way line. And start again.
  10. So this time next year, swansea relegated and Rogers sacked. He's a sacrificial lamb to follow the king.
  11. Simpson is the only first teamer who we can 'easily' upgrade on, and even then there's no guarantees everything will fall into place. After that we could probably get a better left sided attacker than Ba, but could we get someone who can play up top or on the left as well? We've lost a lot of youth players this year, would be happy to see no first teamers out, a full back and centre half in and then build on the underbelly of the club. Its a cliche, but we are adding Taylor and Marveaux to the first team squad post Jan as well
  12. I'm getting a lot of red crosses, Shania Twain up yet?
  13. Hopefully all Everton fans and players will join us in Operation Keep Spurs Out of the Champions League
  14. Just a bit disappointed that we're relying on two of Everton, Fulham and WBA to do us a favour. I wouldn't want to rely on any one of them at any point of the season, all far too unpredictable
  15. I reckon Europa League and we'll see the leaked shirt, Champs League and something different for the home shirt
  16. If anything its slightly easier for us now. We know that only a win is enough - If Arsenal are 0-0 at 75 mins they might settle for the point and sit back inviting pressure. Similarly, Spurs are stuck in the stick or twist scanario (knowing that a draw may be enough (ain't checked their GD vs Arse's) We just go out, know that a win may not be enough but is the minimum we need - ergo one mindset.
  17. And in the summer a large population were horrified that Ba was replacing AC35
  18. I think I may have inadvertently started it on the last page
  19. I'd take him to the Euros tbh. There's better right backs than him, better left backs than him, better centre halfs than him and better defensive midfielders than him. But is there anyone who can all as well as he can? and used to coming off the bench/in from the cold. Invaluable squad member material
  20. Need Villa to do us a favour tbh, although Arsenal could drop points at West Brom in Roy's last game
