I don't know why, it basically says nothing. Just says he'll remain in charge after talks. I prefer wild speculation

That BBC article has extinguished all hope I had

For 10 games, none of that matters. No players to sign, no politics, and a bag full of cash. That's all Ashley will be banking on, then we'll appoint some dogegg in the summer depending on which division we are in. I don't believe they'd offer a bag full of cash, and to think there would be no politics is wishful thinking of the highest order. You don't think they'll offer whoever it is mega-money as a bonus for keeping us up? Ashley loves a bonus, and considering he'd stand to pocket £125m just for finishing last next season if we stay up, it is a drop in the ocean. The very fact they're deviating away from the plan shows Ashley is panicked about missing out on next season's windfall, I just think, perhaps naively, that he'll throw his usual principles out of the window if it means getting his hands on the cash next season If it were as simple as that, we'd have done it ages ago. Why fuck about letting the risk get bigger and bigger? We've been down the bottom of the league for months. Because they don't like to admit they got it wrong? Seemingly some of them still don't, if the stories are to be believed about a couple of people not wanting to sack him. There's a number of other reasons they might have waited - up until about 2 weeks ago it was 3 from about 7 teams, which is now down to 4, realistically. The various stories of unrest could also have triggered Ashley's interest, or maybe he just witnessed how shit we were on Saturday and thought fuck this.

Craig Hope doing his best to get our hopes up

We were basically in a "one more win" scenario for about 3 months It should never have got to that stage

The argument that mike ashley won't do something really stupid cos he loves his money has never held water, the running of the club is incompetant. Would a competent club have let Carver drag us to near relegation? All assumptions on what the club may do has to be filtered through the fact that they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. The fact we spent £80m and we fielded that squad on saturday is testament to that. They tried to appoint the current idiot before Carver, they clearly thought there was no way Carver could be that shit and decided he could fill the 6 month gap before trying for McClaren again. Obviously, they were wrong about Carver's level of ineptitude, so I imagine it'll be a similar story here where they'll sound out a couple of managers and if they all say no we're stuck with this idiot.

He's hardly going to say he expects him to stay after his article yesterday

The only thing I am clinging to is they usually tell that Keith Downie fella from Sky , he's usually the one to break any news even if it's to say nothing is happening. Seems to be him anyway since David Craig moved from north east reporter to football league. I do worry they will wait until the international break after the derby though

Bit harsh, F1 season hasn't started yet

Can't remember the last time I got 50 points, certainly not this fucking week

Just seen Shelvey in the metro centre coming out of Argos

Andy Hinchcliffe (assuming you're on Sky)

Aye don't want you getting a pen for nothing again like last Sunday

If Mbemba is back, I'm not the slightest bit bothered about this news

Bolasie is back for their next game, which is a pity.

I very much doubt they'll sack him as Ashley seems to be very tolerant of shit managers, but if they did I reckon he'd appoint someone like Harry Redknapp until the end of the season just to try and get us to safety. I'm not sure many decent managers would touch us with 12 games to go in the bottom 3...or in general to be honest. Redkanpp seems like the jobs for the boys type Ashley would go for - was it ever proven that he was offered the job in 2007/8 after Allardyce left and before Keegan was appointed?
-
I like Janmaat but considering he was just jogging back yesterday on two of the goals I'm not sure he's the answer. Then again, who the fuck is?

Fucking hell

That bit of skill from Neymar, fucking hell

They have a canny grim March like

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Wijnaldum is dropped for the next few away games in order to play three in there, with Shelvey the most advanced. Assuming Tiote is still here, Colback will surely be used at left back unless Dummett is back so Saivet should play. When's Anita back?
-
He'll be fine against teams like West Brom as he can head a ball. Any sort of pace or movement and he's fucked, which is pretty much every team these days. Obviously Coloccini's deficiencies are still glaring and both should be peddled in the summer

Pardew will relegate us on April 30th and it will be the worst thing ever
