the problem previously has been that it's all well and good playing this way away but at home you need to be more offensive. Pardew sticks with a winning team usually but I imagine he'll put Shola in for the suspended Cabaye, or better yet Ben Arfa

If our full backs are on form we have every chance, there's not a lot of creativity in their team away from the wings. Obviously Hernandez and RVP are very dangerous if given the service so it's not the worst idea swamping the midfield to try and stop that and then hopefully release the Ben Arfa onto them later on.

So...trying to eigh up whether it's better for England to get moved to pot 2 or not. On the one hand, could draw Greece or Croatia...on the other hand I'd fancy us to beat everyone in pot 2 except Chile and possibly Ivory Coast. Also if we do get moved to pot 2 we'd have to play one of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia or Uruguay. Conclusion: Hopefully we stay in pot 4, we're probably fucked either way.
