Yup. There's a long way to run here because tech companies are beginning to compete with traditional media companies, so the cost of content is rocketing. The Premier League is premium sports content.

Javier Manquillo (now playing for Celta de Vigo)

Manquillo will be good. We need a 3-4 more players and it'll be a good summer; LB, CM, AM, ST. We've only spent £25m net. That means around £50m remaining plus outgoings. £15m each on 4 players? -

3 years ago he was extremely highly rated. Not quite on the Santon level but still highly rated. Capped at U21 for a good Spanish side, has experience in the Premier League. He's fast enough to play in England, maybe needs games to build up some confidence. Playing in a Benitez team will help with that. -
He was highly rated only a few years ago. Would be another young kid with excellent pedigree. I hope this one happens simply for the reason that he's highly rated and young, and will come relatively cheap.

Young, promising, English player. Good signing.

Sounds similar to Aarons without the injury headaches. Obviously a lot further forward in his progress judging by the price tag. His career path is nothing like that of Rolando Aarons. TRon once compared the career path of Lennox Lewis to Aarons. He's off his fucking nut. I agree. This kid looks good on Youtube. Sign me up.

If those are our wingers then we're going to struggle to create chances.

So the last time we were in the Premier League, the club made 5m profit, taking into account 70m spent. The TV money for that year was 70m. The drop in TV money during our year in the Championship, factoring in the parachute payments, was around 30m. We made a 30m profit on transfers, which balanced out the drop in TV money. I'm guessing we'll be showing a very similar P&L compared to the year before, roughly around -10m to +10m, probably with a slight loss. We're up again now. Finishing 20th next year will net us a minimum of 100m in TV money. That's 30m more than the last time we were in the league. Last time, we also had a net spend of 70m. Our wages were 75m the last time we were in the league, assume a 25% rise after transfers for the upcoming season, we're looking at around 95m in wages. We should be able to spend, comfortably 90m this year. If there is the expectation to finish top 12, for example, we should be able to spend close to 120m net. Just something to consider when analyzing our transfers after the window closes.

There are capital controls in China, it would be very hard for a deal to happen IMO. Even the biggest companies in China are having trouble financing foreign acquisitions.

I'd take Gibbs if it was cheaper than 15m, but he would be excellent for us even if we had to pay that.
-
Expensive for someone who's injured all the time. Loan deal would be better.

Rafa calls for aid!

Give us the FM screenshot.

 I love transfer season.

Oh wow

Of course they lose an equaliser being a man up.

they signed Pogba and Ibra without CL football ffs. Well it's not impossible, but I think there are some players, who have all sorts of options, for whom CL football will tip the decision. There's a gap now between Man U and the best sides, which will be difficult to bridge. Mourinho needs all the help he can get. They will spend £200m and challenge for the title next year. Get Griezemann, one midfielder and one defender and they'll be right there.
-
Yes a million times.
-
If we don't spend £80m net, we'll be in trouble, IMO. And Rafa will walk.

Ronaldo is a gym freak. Not surprised Rooney hasn't looked after himself well enough to prolong his career. Should be on the Giggs yoga plan and diet if he wants to play until 35 otherwise by 33 no Premier League team will have him.
-
He's extremely young. They won't be selling him for a few years, at least, even if Mourinho doesn't like to play him.

Could probably do offsides from some computer AI with sensors. I mean, cars are driving around without needing a driver now, they can surely teach computers to identify offsides. Same with balls going out for throw ins and corners. Computer should say when it goes out, linesman just needs to identify who it touched last, and even that could be automated.

Last week I subbed Coutinho out for De Bruyne. This week I took out De Bruyne for Hazard. all in all, that's 8 points gone in transfers and 20 points from games. Nearly 30 points gone in two weeks because of my idiocy.
-
Why would they profit? They paid £30m for him.

Sturridge would be great but we couldn't afford to pay his wages if he gets injured. We would need to buy another striker in that case and hope that an injury free Sturridge fires us into the top 10, but no downside if he gets injured.
