  1. Why are you giving your opinion on a league you clearly don't even watch? Barca are on Sky every week, you embarrassing little nu fan turd. Now f*** off and kiss your Messi poster.
  2. So you think we should stick with a great lad with the mental strength of a fish?
  3. Isnt he playing injured until the end of the season ffs, no wonder lacks pace atm.
  4. Elabourate. Where do i start, he's shown potential in having a decent starting line up and making a correct substitution. However... He should have known that Duff would be left stranded a lot and therefore should have started Gutierrez. He seems to be oblivious to the fact that the reason we lose games is through Smith and Butt playing together. They are awful they offer nothing forward and are equally as bad defensively, they are supposed to be anchors but all they do is run round tire themselves out and leave gaping holes in front of our defence. The reason Gerrard had so much room is because, particularly in the first half hey ran out trying to protect our wingers and left the whole middle open. Granted this goes hand in hand with my first point that there wasn't going to be enough cover initially and Gutierrez is a very good tracker. Thirdly is his handling of the team after half time, the change of formation was questionble as i think he should have brought Gutierrez on for a straight Loven swap and keep the current formation working at least for a few minutes. Instead 4-4-2 and Barton our only cretive midfielder, who actually created things in the first half is shifted to RW? wtf? if he wanted some more defensive cover on that flank play Smith there don't waste our attacking talent. Consequently Barton has got frustrated and hit out, and harshly imo was sent off. Hopefully on review he only gets one game ban as he got the ball first, so it's not deemed as too 'dangerous', but again his reputation may preceed him. Granted for the next game he will start with Smith and Butt, and we'll again not win. Stopped reading after you contradicted yourselves within 3 sentences.
  5. Because we lost to Liverpool he is out of his depth.. f*** off. i think that is fair enough tbh, he's out of his depth due to inexperience and the extent of our mire. it would take someone special to turn us around and, while he might turn out to be a very good manager in 2 or 3 years, he's not there yet. FT Your not out of depth after 4 games. This how long we judge managers now?
  6. Because we lost to Liverpool he is out of his depth.. fuck off.
  7. This isn't a serious post is it? If in case it is, why can't Ashley be held accountable for the people he employs? You say he bankrolled signings ..every window we made a profit. We haven't even received a penny for Milner yet.. he is 'out of his depth' could be the biggest understatement in football at the moment. Every decision the guy has taken since Mort left has been wrong.
  8. Uh Viduka = tall and strong Carroll = tall and strong Martins = pacey off the ball Owen = runs through the defence requiring accurate passing Now work out which one might struggle in a side that plays long balls & inaccurate passing. Regardless, Martins doesnt touch the ball barely any more than Owen he just holds it for longer when he drops deep. What is particularly alarming is how physically weak Owen is when challenged for the ball shoulder to shoulder. He loses it every single time in this instances. It's why most of the time he passes it before any of the opposition get anywhere near him. It seems his legs are well and truly shot as he just doesn't have the ability to put himself between the ball and the defender and get low with a wide strong base and just hold them off when under pressure. It's all about balance and leverage and not size. We see the likes of Tevez and Defoe do it all the time and as a little guy you just have to be able to do this to some degree. Owen just seems completely gone physically. He doesn't do anything that looks remotely sudden or explosive or powerful. We all know pace goes eventually, but he is no longer able to jostle with anyone or shoot with power or anything ... It's just a sad sight really. Tevez has a big frame, defoe doesnt do it anymore than owen. Owen did exactly what you're claiming hes no longer capable of in the game against portsmouth whilst being "useless" and setting up guthrie for a chance on the edge of the area. He did it once on one occassion when the defender wasn't as tight to him ... fantastic. Please don't even go there about Defoe because that is crazy talk. Tevez has a big frame? Yeah okay. Robbie Keane, Andy Johnson, Agbonlahor etc etc etc they all do not instantly wilt as soon as they come into contact with a shoulder like Owen does. It's pathetis. Seeing your captain go down so feebly cannot be the most inspiring sight can it.
  9. I think he covers enough ground, it just takes him three times as long as everyone else to do it. He could probably use a fag break. There are goalkeepers who cover more ground than Nolan.
  10. Sadly, we are going to put the team under pressure to get results immediately next year if we go down, when we will probably be playing with a new set of players. Your right will love to see Shearer get 3/4 years but its a results based business, if we dont go up next season (in the event we do go down) i think a lot of fans on here would be wanting him to walk away.
  11. Your opinion, personally think Taylor is more vocal, definitely more passionate about whether we win or lose, good leader for U21's. A captain is probably more involved with the whole team if they play in either center defense or center midfield too.
  12. In that list? He plays with the most passion, heart and throws his body about to stop our rot. He was the only one in that line-up that struck out as having those qualities. Plus he's from Newcastle, he plays in the starting line up. He also is the most vocal player on the pitch on the match day. I guess you don't like those qualities either.
  13. I would like to see Taylor get the armband myself. What a surprise. How so?
  14. I would like to see Taylor get the armband myself.
  15. That's where you argument lead to, well played.
  16. Can you use the word technique instead, i really don't think you have the right definition. In your view of the word, you would call a player who dribbles 5 yards and then hits a 30 yard shot and it fly's in a good finish. When in my eyes its a great strike. Finishing to me is finishing off chances - involves ball control, awareness, composure, intelligence, to get get on the end of the moves and score. Being a good finisher, is having all these characteristics and scoring consistently. Players with good technique can score from half way line, wouldn't say it was a good finish though imo.
  17. Yet when he was 30 he didnt score from 11 league games, year before that scored 7 in 28 for one of the best teams in Europe.
  18. Why dont you find out??
  19. When he goes to a team who can get the ball in the box, he will be great asset to any side. Has had like 28 shots this year (total) and scored 8, a team who creates 3 times as much, comes in for him.. and well.. you know where im going with it. He would be a good replacement for Inzaghi btw He would, you're right. Why have a '12 in 21' striker like Inzaghi when you can bring in Michael '8 in 25' Owen Inzaghi's managed an assist this season aswell, which is one more than little Michael Huh you comparing a relegation side to AC Milan jesus christ thats desperate. 28 shots(total) 8 goals. Find out Inzaghis please They are the same type of player too, Inzaghi 9 goals to 10 attempts really? Or are you exaggerating like always..

  21. 0 in the last 8 1 in the last 14 Wow. Those 1 in 2 stats look pretty hollow now. If he's playing against boro he has to score or we are going to have paid dearly for keeping faith with him based on his reputation. Yee then look how many shots he has taken in those matches, and how many total shots the team has had in them. I get it...he's not getting the service. That makes him pretty much a passenger in our team then as we aren't about to start providing loads of chances on a plate with our midfield, so maybe we need to look at different options. Yep no good to the team at the moment as full of shite around him, but the idea that he is finished as a striker is laughable. 28 total shots to 8 goals, is it? Is pretty good strike-rate if ask me.
  22. 3 seasons ago Inzaghi got 2 goals in 20 league games for AC Milan, a team who around that time used to dominate most teams. 9 goals from 10 chances? Really.

  24. So who has been performing well in our team since 2005/2006 season, in attacking sense? what does this have to go with Owen? Martins has had a tough season but did very well in the previous 2 when he was on the pitch. Surely you're not using the performances of players like Shola Ameobi and Damien Duff to vindicate Owen Being a striker who relies on service and movement in the box, which the ball never gets to, he can't be expected to hit the net. So on that basis put him in a Liverpool side and he will become a 1 goal in 2 game striker. So i will use the players around him to vindicate him. Jonas has 2 assists i think all season, people on here believe he has been a good signing. We'll find out when Owen moves to Spurs or wheoever. But the striker who relies on service to that extent is essentially extinct with the exception of those like Inzaghi, who'll hit the back of the net 9 times out of 10 Owen most certainly does not they have exactly the same game - Inzaghi and him i'm glad you brought that up, when i used to watch AC Milan a few years ago, missed hatful of chances but after every 4 attempts will net one, be offside about 7 times a game. Has for all his experience, the intelligence of a fish when playing off the last man. Owen is alot more clinical then him, again going to point to his 1 in 2 record over his career to prove it! His legs may have gone but he still has to score them somehow.
  25. I think you will find the majority of those games he didn't have a single shot.
