Kind of ironic that he was flying in to town to force a move 9 months ago and now he is back training he is in France. I know this will be an unpopular view and there are lots of counter arguments as propounded by Pards this week, but I see the relutance for him to come over/ us to have him here as a bad sign. At the least him being here would get him assimilated better - often an excuse for a slow start in a new country is problems with language etc. Next season will effectively be his first and that could have been avoided by having him here when he started any form of training again.

Yip always been the way

Who left the club with a better-than 1 in 3 record. I loved him when he was here but it's becoming increasingly clear in hindsight that he wasn't worth the 10 mil or the shirt. If you loved him when he was here he was worth it. Don't allow your resentment about how he left and his nomadic existence sinbce cloud the fact he was decent for us.

I was happy with Martins when he signed and for much of his time here. Someone of his ilk would be fine.

Nice comments from him too. Just the one assist this week so there's a downer on him.

Some lad behind me was saying something about stuff getting thieved out of the changing rooms

Certainly looked the part on Saturday. Lots of potential

Harper slipped didn't he? The Luton one was much the better goal
-
Like the last day of a good test match all three results are eminently possible.
-
He just cocked up. He's not very good the lad
-
Yip, it will happen soon enough. Mind you the longer it takes the less chance he has of 15 yellows
-
Still a red though, daft blat

Aye, this seems to have been largely ignored. They play some decent stuff at times - a neat series of passes between three or four of their players up their left sideline sticks out in particular as being representative of that. Some of the disappointment of another draw has subsided (especially when a NUFC win looked so comfortably achievable at spells during the first half) I feel less aggrieved because Bolton are a good side. Not as good us, but a good side. Based on what exactly? Bias and a love of one's side, obviously

pardew did mention he wanted him slimmed down a bit a few weeks ago Aye it was all muscle though, ney fat

Yip good call. Ranger's best performances have come in the last half hour of games against tiring defences.
-
Why? SO they can focus on the important stuff like where you sit?

Totally agreed, I mean then man has five goals in seven matches, what more could we ask for, sure some of his areas of play are weak (poisitioning and headers) but he scores goals and thats what we need, not somebody who looks good, gets into the right positions yet doesn't score when they get the ball in front of the goal. He's been good in the air of late. Still offside way too much though

Rod Liddle, he with the police caution for assaulting his pregnant partner, calling anyone else a lunatic?
-
I'm an advocate of Jonas, but he wasted some really good positions on Saturday
-
Shame we didn't get the deserved 3 points at the weekend as these were 2 good performances in difficult fixtures.

Super stuff. Good decision making and delivery to match his usual industry and directness.
