  1. Plus he has no future at the club. Points to Charver imo, so hope it's not true.
  2. They're overpaying as per usual, but if he keeps them up in the next few seasons it'll be more than worth it.
  3. with fire Having said that, what is a Pardew quote from May 2014 doing in this Garde thread?
  4. God damn, hope he doesn't get him. Fuck off Pardew!
  5. Has anybody seen the source for this? I know your media are rank, but come on.
  6. It's been brilliant since Everton's equaliser.
  7. Oh Valencia, should have scored yourself
  8. As mentioned earlier Wallace at 01:10:00 was very good as well.
  9. It's quite ironic that an attempt at parody about CH is instantly shot down by the PC brigade

  16. The coaching staff situation at Lyon is quite interesting. They currently have three 'assistant managers': Bruno Génésio: one of Garde's best friends since his early playing days. Gérald Baticle: who joined Lyon as a U19 manager just before Garde became manager and quickly became assistant manager focused on attacking players' coaching. He has also been a Canal+ consultant for English football since 2010, so you would expect him to know the Premier League fairly well. Michel Audrain: who moved to Lyon this summer alongside new manager Hubert Fournier. You would expect that Garde, should he join, would want to bring Génésio over, and possibly Baticle as well. His goalkeeping coach has been Joël Bats, who has been at the club for a longer time however, so don't know about that. By all accounts, it was those four who were the core coaching team at OL when Garde was their manager. http://s-www.leprogres.fr/images/5E6C957B-F8AB-44E3-830A-B270FD51F8D6/LPR_19/remi-garde-ici-au-milieu-de-son-staff-ou-l-on-reconnait-gerald-baticle-bruno-genesio-et-joel-bats-au-bout-d-une-saison-marathon-tout-un-club-est-pret-pour-une-ultime-et-incertaine-ligne-droite-photo-stephane-guiochon.jpg LTR: Gérald Baticle, Remi Garde, Bruno Génésio and Joël Bats

They're selling their best player ffs. They spend money though. I don't know how anybody can deny that the owners of Swansea have shown tremendous levels of ambition over the past decade or so. They were on the verge of relegation to the conference in 2003 FFS, back when we were one of the top sides in the Premier League. Today, there is a legitimate case for them having overtaken us. There's a hell of a lot more to ambition than holding on to your best players all the time, which only a few clubs can do anyway.
