  2. Don't think I've been as frustrated watching one of our games since Alkmaar away, painfully obvious the changes were needed 20 minutes before they came.
  3. Must get both of them on before we're chasing the game again.

  7. To be fair, it's difficult to look at an unsuccessful bid as an example of the board backing the manager. It is also beginning to look as though Guthrie, at under £3M, is the alternative to Modric rather than just a squad player.
  8. Casillas Anyukov Puyol Marchena Pranjić Deco Xavi Sneijder Arshavin Villa Podolski Although Pirlo v. Holland was my favourite individual performance for some reason.
  9. I put both Arda and Nihat in for this round
  10. Had Ronaldo as my captain for this round Now for a goal or assist from Tranquillo.
  11. Pirlo is still a joy to watch, virtually flawless in possession all night.
  12. 'Sky Sports News sources' spot on again, then.
  13. Well yeah, but, you know, to be honest, very pleased you know *shifty glance at camera*
  14. I see Benfica appointed Quique Flores today, Sven to Chelsea? Edit: Ah
  15. Spot on. I'm sure there was more of a celebration after the semi-final.
  16. I thought that confidence was the only issue with Carson. Weren't you happy to be getting him for £10M prior to the England/Croatia game, brummie?
  17. Then there's Ivanovic who signed for £9M in January and hasn't yet played a minute of football despite not being injured...
  18. I like Crouch from that list. Ideally you would want someone with more mobility but Viduka's link up play is most important to the current system and Crouch is closest to him in that aspect. I think it would work with Owen and Martins running off of him and perhaps someone like SWP taking up Geremi's role to give us some natural width on the right.
  19. Huddlestone ahead of Carrick is a strange one.
  20. Chris Mort has told David Craig that it was 'a constructive and productive meeting'.
  21. I remember that ugly cunt Stubbs telling Rooney to go to United. I wonder if Berger is in an agents pocket too? Berger is an absolute wanker for that. Refused to play for the reserves last season, so MON sent him on loan to Stoke. Comes back a reformed character, plays about three times due to injury, wangles himself a final one year contract which is just about to end, then comes out with this shit. Wanker. 'Patrik Berger will not play for Aston Villa again after suggesting that Gareth Barry should join Liverpool.'
  22. If there isn't a real chance of N'Zogbia being here next season i'd rather see Kazenga get the run out. Same formation, Carroll in for Viduka.
  23. I still don't understand why he decided to come out and drill it into the players that the club is nowhere near good enough to compete with the top four and won't be for the foreseeable future, whilst sending out the same message to any potential signings. To publically tell the owner that, regardless of what he thinks, he won't be able to take his club to the next level. And to top it all off, let the world know that their relationship is nonexistent. When you directly compare these quotes to those he made when he first arrived, it just comes across as a bit of a tantrum on the back of an embarrassing second half performance and possibly a culmination of his frustration with the Wise and Houghton apointments being made above his head and our failure to sign Woodgate and Modric. No doubt the media will be going with that line.
