Would like to see Man U v Barca though preferably when messi is fit. Then we can really see who is better Lio or Chris.

Zog and Beye, then at least we have two players who can pass the ball. Yes i know we would be screwed at right back but I would rather they werent able to run straight through the middle.

This is a comparison im making, not the most accurate but might give some insight. Personally I remember when I was 13-14 and playing rugby and football, I was always far more tired playing rugby. Since then I have stopped playing rugby and now play hockey every weekend. I play 5 a side now and then but its mainly hockey. Anyways last week some of my mates i play hockey with asked if I could play for them in a local footy league they play in. Playing the whole game right wing/midfield I there were only a few times i was out of breath. Compare this to hockey on a saturday and I can play a whole game but the faster pace of play and less stoppages (goal kicks corners etc are taken lot quicker in hockey), i find it far more strenuous. I have a friend in portugla who plays for their national hockey team, portugal aren't a big hockey country yet the bleep test minimum for the squad is 15, and nations like austrialia, spain it is higher at around 17. Obviously there are players who are very fit, and others that aren't, I still think rugby players are all round a lot fitter than footballers, whilst I am unsure what to make of football/hockey comparison as they are different in nature.

They are fit, but there are a few other (team)sports i can think of that have fitter athletes.

Ok I agree with the problems now some solutions, most of which would never be adopted by fifa but I think they would work The Point of rugby refs, is spot on they take no shit and if you chat back your off, this should be brought in in football. I play hockey you swear at the umpire or your cheeky your off (yellow card sin bin thing like rugby). Brining in the hockey card system of green - yellow -red (yes just like traffic lights) would be a step up for football imo. Green is a warning, like a yellow card , yellow is a sin bin whihc is min 5 mins but can be whole game is you do something bad, then red is a instant ban from playing hockey. Now the prem league they could easily use that system as horror tackles etc get a straight red then they can look at the incident and look at how many games you are banned for. The sin bin system would work as well, and then warning card would mean you commit that offence again and your sin binned. Those are my ideas from other sports but like I said FIFA is unlikely to change its carding system, they do need to issue something that says you swear and the ref your carded, if I was a football ref and some one swore at me they would be booked, no ifs or buts. Foul language has no part in the game yet none of the footballing bodies have done anything to stamp it out. If they refs get more power and are respected and not hounded or harrased then that would go someway to helping footballs image as well.

Well I suppoer Barcelona though I have never been to a barca game, and only watch them on the tv. Does that mean I'm not a supporter ? I have a NUFC season ticket but I have friends who can't afford to go to the games, that doesn't make them less of a supporter than me surely.

I've got a Kiaserslautern shirt (got friend in germany who support them) and its class really ncie shirt and has the longest sponsor name ive ever seen with "Deutsche Vermögensberatung" on the fornt. As for foreign teams Barca and Valencia and Kaiserslautern, dont really follow italian leagues.
