    Geremi Or Butt?

Just get him back on the right.

    Geremi Or Butt?

What has Geremi done to justify dropping Milner? Emre or Barton sitting in that formation? What has Milner created so far this season to justify not being dropped in favour of trying something new? Agree to some extent. I've always be one to stand up for Milner and i think he's a very good player, probably a key player, but he's started to frustrate me quite a bit now. He's not really doing, well anything. However, personally i think that that's because he's being played down the left. And although it seemed so at first, that's not his most effective position. He can't cross from there without stopping, pulling it back onto his right, and only 'floating' a ball in. In favour of trying something new - but that new thing is putting Milner on the right. Keep Geremi in the centre.
  3. Dumbshit? Love you babes. OK, that's fine. But you can't blame the manager. He made the change, it's up to the players to make it effective.
  4. Blame the players for playing shit then, not the manager. The formula was changed, no two ways about it. Btw, "nothing matters when Ameobi's playing" and "we're not as good as Man Utd" ... cracking arguments there.

    Geremi Or Butt?

I could put this in one of about five different threads, but for the record, when everyone's fit i'd like to see the team like this: Given Beye Rozehnal Caçapa Enrique Milner Barton Geremi N'Zogbia Owen Viduka or Given Beye Rozehnal Caçapa Enrique Geremi Barton Emre -------------UNSURE, TBH ------------- 4-4-2 all the way.

    Geremi Or Butt?

If our 'official' formation is 4-3-3, you're probably right. And if that is the case, i'd hope you'd be right. Butt's limited to fuck nowadays. Faye actually looked alright when he came on last night tbh. The logic in the rest of the post is fairly spot on aswell. We've seen Milner up top in a 4-3-3, worth seeing Zoggy there n'all.
  7. The line-up was reminiscent of Roeder. But the tactical changes during the match weren't incorrect (although he probably should have withdrawn Butt rather than Geremi), it was just unfortunate that everyone was playing so shit anyway, it didn't make a difference. We reverted from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 when Faye came on, incase you missed it.

    Geremi Or Butt?

So you'd rather play Butt, whom you already know all about (and, tbf, ain't really gonna give us an awful lot now), than offer time to a quality player like Geremi? And plus, he's probably been told to sit deep.

    Geremi Or Butt?

That's my midfield, n'all. Can't wait to see it. No more square pegs/round holes. N'Zogbia being allowed to actually utilise his fiery spark. Milner able to actually cross the ball again. And 'The Key', Barton, back in the side and giving us that drive from midfield. Need Enrique and Barton fit, and soon!

    Cheer up, Baba

Remember him putting in decent shifts at home to Ventspils and at Zulte-Waregem aswell...

    Geremi Or Butt?

When Barton gets back, Barton/Geremi all the way. We are playing two defensive centre-mids at the moment; we can only ask for so much. Geremi will be class for us eventually, i really think that, but what are we supposed to get from him when he's playing alongside the offensively-inept Butt? They're alternating at the moment, one sit/one penetrate, and neither of them can do it. Barton will be the key. I (well - most, probably) have been thinking that for a while, and last night confirmed it to fuck.

    Set Pieces

We have more than enough aerial capability in the squad. From a 'shooting' point of view, anyway. I'm not going to mention flick-ons/holding the ball up.

Duff's been nowt but fucking shite for us. We need N'Zogbia in midfield more than we do Duff. And i can't describe how desperate we're in need of Joey Barton.
  14. Only fans of Team America would get that. And it's one of my jokes, so even then it would be pushing it.
  15. And if you don't let this dick fuck this asshole...
  16. Sorry Sam, but I just don't buy that I'm afraid. If anything we've been in the best position of the weekend playing on Monday. I don't either. A textbook old pro manager excuse after international week. He's not exactly going to relay the phonetic massacre that he's just offered his players, five minutes previous in the changing room, is he.
  17. Would Given of saved the goal like? Probably not, but he'd have made a better attempt at it and not look like a total clown. Not that i reckon that was Sparks' point, like.
  18. Owen did one thing in the game. That was to expertly take the ball around the keeper with speed, then convert the ball back into a goalscoring position for a teammate, from an awkward position. To give him a 4 is a bit of a nonsense, really; he just wasn't in it.
  19. Well, i wouldn't go that far. Was shite tonight though.
  20. Utter shite tbh. Whoever said that didn't watch us last season; we would have lost by more. The only thing that gives that comment the merest credibility, is that it would have been a bottom three clash and we'd have been up for it. Agree with Quagmire/Claypool btw.
  21. Zog, aye he was shit, but he actually tried to create though. Smith and Ameobi, i'll give you.
  22. I was told by the barman "you're in an over-16s bar, so act like one" haf a minute or so following that. Wasn't really the right place for me to watch a footy match in fairness.
  23. Aye you're probably right actually. Should have been Butt. Who, for me, put in the single worst individual performance of the season.
  24. That's a sh*te comment. No ambition whatsoever. Of course we should be looking at the top 6. In summer what did we want? We wanted to see progress on and off the pitch, some semblance of long-termism, and a good squad spirit. We're building a squad, we're improving facilities off the pitch. We need to demonstrate the patience Big Sam asked for. But let's never play Smith on the wing every again. love the fact that we all know much more than professional manager's do Aye, i mean - Keefaz is pretty damn incorrect in fairness.
