  1. 7 GAMES MAN, 7 GAMES. Btw I have said time and time again our football hasn't been the best and that our performances have been poor so there is no blind eye or straw clutching from me. Just realism that a new team can't turn it on from the off and most certainly not after a few games. What are you dribbling on about, he bought flair players at Bolton and some very high profile ones too yet you claim he won't do the same for us? And the reason Bolton can't fill their stadium is because they are a shitty small town club with shitty fans in the same way Blackburn, Boro, Wigan and even Reading can't fill theirs either, not because the football is shite or even because ticket prices are sky high. Allardyce changed his way of thinking every season at Bolton fwiw, hence them improving every season. Again to suggest he won't at Newcastle is reactionary shite. Buying Anelka, which you conveniently ignore, was a bold and progressive move on Big Sam's behalf. Did you see some of their football last season? Bolton 2-0 Liverpool Newcastle 1-2 Bolton (they tore us to pieces in the second half) Bolton 3-1 Arsenal Bolton 4-0 West Ham Bolton 3-2 Portsmouth Arsenal 1-1 Bolton Wigan 1-3 Bolton Chelsea 2-2 Bolton Impressive wins and performances that suggest they were more than a long ball team full of grafters. teams don't pick up them kind of wins or feature in those kind of high scoring games if all they can do is huff and puff. I can remember the 2-2 draw with Chelsea towards the end of the season and they were a long ball team who looked to get everyone behind the ball and tried to take advantage from dead ball situations, ugly stuff. The same could be said about their games with Arsenal where he admitted at the talk in that he gets his team to go out and "kick the shit out of them", how is this good football? Aye, and i bet Bolton were gutted with them results, gutted. Unfortunately Yorkie you've missed the point, Atleast i'm consistent.
  2. Can't remember a time where we've he had so much quality in the striking set-up.

  4. Is it an autobiography thingy?
  5. Took the words out of my mouth.
  6. We'll brink on the Top 4 within three seasons, i reckon. Becoming one of the Top 4 is more a case of "who'll drop out", rather than "who'll get in".
  7. Ridiculous comment. He's still got it, as in, he can still lift his leg over the top of the ball once or twice. Still looked really fit. Still had a lovely touch. Still had an eye for a pass. And yes still had that flair we all love! Stood out against a good Chelsea team for sure. Sorry mate, yes we're lacking something, but he offered nowt to Bolton in his last couple of seasons. And that was before he went down the pan whilst spending oil money on Bentleys and suchlike, aswell as turning 34 at the same time. And besides, our midfield has got a nice touch and the eye for a pass - we need pace and bite! Okocha doesn't have that. Me best mate's a Hull fan though and he's loving it! Well, he didn't enjoy tonight like...

    Captain

ChrisJBarnes either has a bad memory, or is gonna get a big shock next time he sees the West Ham squad.
  10. Know nowt. Heard we lost. Was always gonna be difficult.
  11. Fiver on them realising that after ten days that he needs an op.
  12. Agreed. Anyone (that wasn't a foetus) that saw Keegans team play would vote for him. FYP.
  13. Changed my mind. Would rather not risk Viduka if he's got a knock. Smith in for him. Same for the rest, though. Crucial that we've got N'Zogbia and Enrique both down the left for this one if Walcott's going to be down there. N'Zogbia to keep up with him and Enrique to be rock hard and knock him out of his stride. Therefore: Harper Beye Rozehnal Faye Enrique Milner Geremi Butt N'Zogbia Smith Martins However i reckon he'll want to rest Milner n'all, therefore i reckon we'll see this: Given Beye Rozehnal Taylor Enrique Smith Geremi Faye N'Zogbia Ameobi Martins But i hope not.
  14. Ah well, luck is turning our way then. So my point still stands in that respect - we'd never have pulled that second goal off last season.
  15. My gran's got a framed poster of Shay.
  16. Hates the Toon, don't he Kev.
  17. Haven't seen this posted anywhere... Just watching 'Big League Weekend', or whatever it's called, on SkySports1... says Lee Clark is in line to become manager there. He and Terry Mac were in the stands n'all. Anyone ITK?
  18. 2-1 Arsenal but it'll be mightily close. Arsenal's young legs to last for 120 minutes, ours to last for about 115.
  19. Difficult for me to say anyone but Bobby... but i can imagine Keegan was considerably better.
  20. 1. Would we fill it? 2. Would it improve the atmosphere? 3. Would it make any money? None of those things are guaranteed, especially not at the moment. Big risk now - nice though for the future, though.
