Christ we're a fucking team and a half at SJP, like.

Don't doubt that he's a more talented player but dubious he's as effective on that side as Burn. Changes the way that whole side operates.
-
Not been able to watch this uninterrupted but annoyingly looks there for the taking, but we're just not playing that well. Not bad, just not that effective. We miss Burn imo, just having that balance does make a difference.
-
Barely worthy of comment imo, it's meaningless. If the academy lads aren't up to it why bother putting them in the bench? Might as well chuck all the goalies in and make it clear to the distant observers in Riyadh that investment is required.

I doubt anyone will ever be as successful as Man City have been over the last decade. I dunno how any City fan can feel a thing these days tbh. Let alone create an atmosphere.

Making a point, surely.

Yeah, feel far more apprehensive than excited atm - December is a congestion nightmare. At least it guarantees business in January.

I've been peddling the "freak injuries" caveat for weeks but probably have to start looking inward at some point.
-
If Isak starts then we shouldn't really have any fear going into this one. Not only is he really good, it keeps Gordon on the wing and Big Joe in CM. Despite all the injuries, we're close to full strength and somewhat rested. Our levels will inevitably drop because of the congestion but I think the expectations should be pretty high today. If there's no CF then it'll be extremely difficult.

Read that article earlier, spent a good five minutes trying to confirm if the author supported Everton or Chelsea.

Your own football ability - how good are/were you?

Always been annoyingly shite among my peers... B teams at Junior level; occasional run-outs for the school team; played with the no-hopers at lunch times. The odd memorable moment here and there; a Euro 2004 Henrik Larsson-esque diving header in Year 9 which I'll never forget. Up to January 2020 I'd played 5aside every week for a couple of years and felt capable, but if the last Lockwood is anything to go by, it's disappeared now and then some. -
I can't remember the last time I've seen so many of the home shirts out and about - seems to have been a really popular seller. I've seen next to nothing of this though, which is no great surprise as it's a load of nowt. No idea what the pattern is supposed to be which just makes it unmemorable.

Is there an obvious favourite in Path C? Assuming Poland and Ukraine for the others.

Horsham retrospectively awarded a glamour tie at Sutton United.

What the fuck is wrong with that Kaveh bloke? Talks like a four-year-old reading his first story book.

Southgate is a tactically limited manager who has galvanised the national team into performing somewhere close to the sum of its parts, and has come closer to delivering silverware than anyone else for generations. If you think he's underachieved then I won't argue but he has underachieved less than every single predecessor in my lifetime. I can't be bothered to define his apparent comparator because the English language doesn't have the capacity to accurately describe Steve Bruce. Besides, comparing the England job to a club job - let alone a club job 15 or so years ago - is like comparing apples and oranges; they could hardly be more different. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't cut out for the Premier League but that has absolutely nothing to do with his work with England.
-
There's some absolute pish spouted about Southgate but likening him to that pondlife Bruce tops it.

You including the 7-0 against these opponents a few months ago, when the result mattered? What about us knocking six past Iran in our World Cup curtain raiser? Double over Italy this campaign n'all, home game a month ago in-particular was a good watch. The friendlies and dead rubbers against competent sides are nearly always tedious and pedestrian. That's hardly a Southgate thing.
-
If you're after entertainment, a dead rubber mid-season international fixture away to niggly, gutsy opponents with a homer ref and an experimental line-up is a poor choice.
-
Honestly, let em fucking have it. It's a rule that should already exist anyway and it's not like our success hinges on a dubious loan for Ruben Neves.

Saka's been shite tonight
