  1. I remember at the time when he became available I`d suggested take him for the 2m that Norwich paid...but many people were opposed to it since he "jumped ship" in the relegation year.....2m( edit: 4m) was a bargain and certainly been one of Norwich`s best players this season
  2. Bruno Martins Indi - Feyenoord. Alot of people are talking about his teammate De Vrij but this guy is quality IMO. He can play left back or as a left centre back. Feyenoord have finished 3rd this season and I`m not sure how badly they need the money especially finishing in a European place. Not that we`re interested

  5. I'm in shatters. I don't know what more I can say. It's like wanting to cry, but I can't. It's like I won't be able to feel football the same way I did from now on. Pure cruelty. Porto play Pacos de Ferreira who are 3rd and have proven very capable this season but I can`t see Porto messing up this one.....and from what I`ve heard Pacos usually bend over for Porto. Always gutting to lose in the 91st minute but even more so for a title deciding game like this.
  6. Porto(CL) > Atletico(EL) > Monaco (Newly promoted) Steady progression from Falcao if the news is true.

  8. Ginola Claims French Players Don’t Care If Newcastle Are Relegated Speaking on Talksport this is what Daveed had to say; “Playing in Europe and then in a Premier League relegation fight are completely different things. You have to have the right sort of players for that task and I’m not sure that the (French) players are concerned about it. The players are thinking, ‘well if the club is relegated then we will leave in the summer’.” “Hopefully they are going to find something to help save the club because Newcastle United and the fans need to stay in the Premier League. I hope they are impressing that importance onto them.” http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/ginola-claims-french-players-dont-care-if-newcastle-are-relegated/ ----

  11. Argentine football fans beat players after cup exit Huracan lost in penalties in a cup tie Dozens of fans of the Argentine football club Huracan have stormed the club's changing rooms after a training session and assaulted some players. They also stole players' belongings and damaged their cars outside the stadium in Buenos Aires. The masked fans carried out the attack after a disappointing result. Second division Huracan had been knocked out of Copa Argentina by first division opponents Godoy Cruz on penalties on Wednesday. "We were in the showers after Thursday's training session when the disguised fans stormed the rooms and threatened the players," said coach Jose Maria Llop. He said some of the players had been beaten. "When we left the stadium, we found out eight cars had been damaged," he added. The club's president, Alejandro Nadur, said the fans had come in two buses and entered the stadium. "What they did would not have been justified, even if we had lost 15-0 to Godoy Cruz," he said. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-22211549

  15. their English teacher (RIP) at the time was a Celtic fan and taught them club songs to help them with their English. There`s a bunch more of other songs of other players I believe on their youtube page. Forster wasn`t there obviously then but I guess they continued the tradition since they became Celtic fans. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/scottishnews/4314309/Celtic-fans-hit-the-Thai-notes-for-tragic-Reamonn-Gormley.html
  16. Published on 09/04/2013 14:04 FORMER Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster has admitted he wants to return to the Magpies – as he has ‘unfinished business’ at the club. Forster signed for Celtic in the summer after a loan spell at the Scottish giants, having been frustrated in his bid to usurp Tim Krul to the No1 jersey at St James’s Park. The 25-year-old spent his formative years with Newcastle, coming through the ranks before leaving in a £2.5m deal. But he admits it was a huge wrench to leave his boyhood club, and would love to return one day. “I’d like to go back to Newcastle at some point, if the opportunity arises,” said Forster, who was speaking to BBC’s Late Kick-Off. “I’m a Newcastle fan and I’ve got unfinished business there. “It was a wrench to leave, it’s my hometown club. But it wasn’t meant to be. “I enjoyed my time out on loan and after enjoying playing week in week out it was important I carried on playing. I wanted to be No1 and it was clear that wasn’t going to happen at Newcastle. “Everyone wants to be playing in the Premier League. It’s the place to be. “At the minute I’m very happy at Celtic and playing Champions League Football, but long-term it would be nice to play in the Premier League.”

  19. Solano fights Newcastle United's corner in Portuguese press Newcastle United legend Nolberto Solano believes that his former team have the ability to progress to the semi finals of the Europa Cup when they face Benfica on Thursday. They are due to play the Portuguese club in the quarter finals in a game that Solano sees as winnable. Speaking to O Jogo the Peruvian said Benfica will find Newcastle United has a strong physical presence when they face each other. He highlighted Sissoko, Tiote, Cisse and Ameobi as players who have physical attributes which Benfica will struggle to cope with. He thinks the physical advantage means his former club can pull off a shock by knocking out the Portuguese league leaders. “Newcastle has a strong physical presence. They have amazing players like Sissoko, Tiote, Cisse, and Ameobi who are physically powerful. Distinguished by height, strength, and speed and jumping ability. I want to say that Newcastle will pull off a football shock." Newcastle United are due to play Benfica in the first leg of the tie in Portugal on Thursday with the return leg at St James Park next week. The Portuguese club will be seen as favourites to progress to the semi finals in a competition in which sides from Portugal have done well in over the past few years. Newcastle United defeated Russian big spenders Anzhi Makhachkala to progress to the quarter finals after beating FC Metalist Kharkiv in the previous round. If they are to get to the semi final they may face Premier League opposition with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also remaining in the competition.
