Shane Ferguson At only 11 years old, he became the youngest ever player to feature in European top flight football. He is already being branded about as "the next, next Messi".

I actually thought Wigan were worse than West Ham, just that we looked off the pace on Sunday, while today we were brilliant. It's pretty much impossible to predict at this stage though.

Which is why he was such a massive blow (on top of him being our best player). We clearly signed him with the intention of him being able to play in pretty much every attacking role in the team. I even think Hughton said this after he had signed.

This. If we don't sign anyone else, I'd play him LW a couple of games to give Jonas a kick up his arse, then move him to play off Carroll. If we sign a decent striker (say, Keane on loan), then I'd play him LW for the rest of the season. I do think HIS best position is in the hole, where he can roam and do whatever the fuck he wants, but as our option out left isn't good enough, he'd be most useful out left.

Over the moon with this signing, absolutely fantastic. Still can't quite believe it. Highest rated player we've signed since Michael Owen?
