  1. You are probably right on the second account because we are seen as a below average Premiership club who just got promoted, but there are quite a few better strikers (non English) that would be valued at below 30M. Carrol is good and has age on his side but by no means is he a world class striker, let alone a finished product. Disagree. This season, Carroll has been a world class striker. He's got 11 goals and 3 assists (and IIRC, that's not counting Sholas second in the derby and Bartons vs Liverpool) in 18 games in the league so far, and on top of that, he's winning pretty much everything in the air and I'd say that no defender that we've faced so far has been able to cope with him.
  2. Liverpool mate texted me after the game and asked if I fancied swapping AC9 for Torres. I told him to get fucked.
  3. Honestly can't believe how unpopular Routledge is here. He was certainly one of our best players in the Championship, he proper took the piss out of that league and he was good against Chelsea and even better today. People seem to be basing their opinion of him from a few games at the start of the season when he was playing in front of Perch. People are saying it's madness to "play two players out of position" when I suggest we play Routledge LW and Barton RW, but considering Barton is putting in great performance after great performance on the right, why would we want to change that? And with Jonas getting worse by the game, Routledge needs to be given a chance on that side. He would have to do a fucking terrible job there to be worse than Jonas atm.
  4. No it isn't. Barton is a central midfielder, regardless of his form this season. So Barton is a central midfielder who is better playing as a winger? I don't see how that is playing him out of position.
  5. Routledge left, Barton right please. Had enough of this guy now.
  6. Played much better after Ranger came on. Him and Tiote needs to be playing in CM with two strikers.
  7. Nigel De Jongs legs still work = Tiote was shite.
  8. Why the fuck is this cunt still walking?
  9. Was that Nolans 5th today? He'll be a big miss.
  10. Immense today again. If we don't get more than 30m for him, it's a steal.
  11. Fuck me this is frustrating. Andy is dominating, winning everything.
  12. I think we're great value at 3.25 tbh. I'd never bet on us though, but as a neutral I would have a good look at our game.
  13. Fulham at home to West Ham at 1.90 looks a very good bet.
  14. When are Blackpool going to play their next home game like? March?
  15. Goal of the season so far? That strike is absolutely unbelievable.
  16. Very good interview that. It's so refreshing seeing a footballer be so honest.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Best signing we'll make in January. :fwap:
  18. It would hurt like fuck to see Johnson sign for Sunderland. One of the brightest talents I've seen in a long time, he's way too good to play for them. If they got a realistic shot at getting him, then surely so should we?
  19. Heitinga should slot in or is he injured? Injured and doesn't want to be here. We might get to see a bit of Tony, get in! Ouch, massive blow for you guys. How come Heitinga is unhappy?
  20. Samba is terrific, however if he's got a problem with Blackburns owners, what is he going to think about ours?
  21. Played a reasonable part in a treble winning size at 19, and not that many other candidates. Have you really seen enough of him to say "i really don't see what so special about him, overated as f***". My guess is no. He's a decent striker from what I've seen of him, which in fairness isn't all that much. I'd say he was worthy of winning, for the reasons you mentioned. He's a massive cunt though, and I can't stand him either on or off the pitch. It's rare that I say this, but I really don't want him to become a great footballer.
  22. We've also beaten Villa, Sunderland & Liverpool and drawn with Chelsea. We won't get any more points from this kind of games, and I don't know how many points we'll get at Stoke, Blackburn, Wigan etc considering our woeful trend far from SJP. So where exactly are we going to take the points needed to do better than 17th place? How on Earth can you say this? I can certainly see us getting points at home to either of the Manchester clubs and/or Arsenal as well as away to Villa, mackems and Liverpool. Tbh, our toughest game left is Chelsea away, apart from that, there isn't a game where I would be confident about us not getting a point (providing the core of our team stays fit and not sold in Jan).
