Am I the only one who isn't too unhappy about the kick-off times? Since I've got leave booked for every early kick off I couldn't care less when they are. I just think they're bad because you won't be able to make a decent evening out of watching football. Nowt like bringing your mates over or going to the pub to watch a couple of games in succession, the break between the second and third game ruins this for me.

Definitely agree with your second point. If the foul warrants a straight red, then of course it should be received, but if it's only a bad tackle to stop a goal scoring opportunity, a yellow, or maybe no card at all, is enough. If it's outside the penalty area it should be a free kick and a red card though.

Personally, I think every team should be forced to play with at least 5 strikers and no more than two defenders, including the goal keeper. Then there'd be loads of goals and extremely entertaining. If goals is the only entertaining part you can see in football, maybe you should try another sport? I hear they score loads of points in basketball.

Could have some legs this - too often do teams go 2 or 3 goals up with a good chunk of the game to go, and just sit on that and slip back into 2nd gear. Getting your money's worth and all that jazz. That said the team in front would argue they can do what they want with that lead and if they think the opposition has goals in them, playing more conservatively would suit them better. Put yourself in the 2-0 situation - if you're 2-0 up, and you're playing a pretty decent side who score regularly, what do you do? Need to recognise the defensive element of the game as well, I guess. In conclusion, I don't know. In conclusion, look at Keefaz's post, it will make everything very clear.
