not really, had a great effort and played a lush ball into ronaldo which he nearly scored. hardly invisible. When I made that comment he'd had one shot on goal, but more importantly had barely featured in any of Real's build up play.

Bale invisible.

Funny thinking about old obscure games. Just looking now, does anyone remember us beating Leeds away in 99 1-0 with a Solano goal?
-
Was he playing for Man Utd that year they hammered Roma? The 5 or 6-1 where even Alan Smith scored? He was on loan at Zaragoza that season. They played them in the Champions League the year after but Totti didn't play in either game, even though Pique did. The Vieira one's bugging me. The only time I remember Barca playing Inter, Vieira was already at Man City, and I don't think they'd have crossed over at international level. Edit: FFS, old BBC match reports getting five hits at the exact same time I'm not that certain it's Vieira. Didn't he always wear #4 for Arsenal and France? I'm not certain either. He did wear 14 for Inter and it does look like an Inter shirt based on the font and that, but like I said their paths don't really cross. Bet he's getting them off classicfootballshirts or something. http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2010/matches/round=2000028/match=2000438/index.html Possibly here.

Was he playing for Man Utd that year they hammered Roma? Googled it, he didn't play in any of the two legs. I can't see Totti switching shirts with the 232423th choice CB anyway They played them two years running. He played in this one: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7332289.stm

Did some digging and found out that he played vs them for Man U, however Totti didn't play in the games.

I'd say no just because there's no guarantee he'd fuck off if we did.

He would say that wouldn't he, because it gives him a better chance of playing. -
No Scott, there isn't 'loads' of conflicting reports going around at the moment. There was one 15 year old with nothing better to do than make up rumours on Twitter and you bought it like everyone else

99% of people who say they've 'Had it' with the club are lying.

Hope the prick gets sacked at the end of the season, but spoke quite well at the end of the game.

15.4% winning percentage. It's actually from 36.. so even worse.

Probably been our best player aswell -
So how has Steve done at bigger positions? Embarrassed on both occasions. I guess now we are becoming a smaller club, happy with midtable finishes we might be a better fit. But he's not the manager to get us in the top 8 consistently imo. He was at Wolfsburg for 6 months under a shithouse setup. Thats the only 'big' club job hes had. It would be churlish to draw any firm conclusions from that. I've said it before but if McClaren is underwhelming, who exactly is overwhelming? Who do you rank higher on your imaginary short-list? Out of the candidates linked I'd rate them as: Great appointments: Benitez, Tuchel (Both extremely unlikely and barely worth mentioning) Good appointments: De Boer, McClaren, Garde, Galtier Dissapointing/underwhelming appointments: Laudrup, Bilic, Warbuton, Labaddia Ghastly appointments: Carver, Redknapp, Bruce By my estimation McClaren is in probably the top bracket of managers we could get. I'd take Laudrup or Bilic in an instant, this is Mike Ashley ffs.

Don't mind playing Riviere, but not playing Perez is an absolute joke.

Pathetic, from both teams. -
How on earth was Carver assistant to Sir Bobby for so long and yet has failed to pick up anything from the great man?

OTT me thinks

I think City are closer to Barcelona than they're showing, but it's almost as if they realise Barcelona are far superior in possession and don't know how to play against them.

Milner is completely out of his depth at this level. There was an instance then when he had loads of space to run forward in to, and he was looking around for someone to pass to as if he didn't know what to do with the ball
