My take on the whole clause thing is this. Ba has done incredibly well for us, he has a clause and he's not on a contract that is - from his point of view - what he deserves. His agent goes public with the clause to force us to renegotiate his contract, as he wants to stay. Fair play to the agent who wouldn't be doing his job very well otherwise, stupid move from the club to include it to begin with. I reckon we may well see him sign a new, improved deal soon.

We need something good from Ben Arfa today to convice Pardew for the QPR game, really hope it comes to fruition and he starts finding his feet today, could be massive for our season as it will give us another attacking dimension.

Agree. Think the ACN is also helping us this window. Revision of the terms of his contract needed, and a deserved pay rise - or we won't stand a chance of keeping him in the summer in this blistering form. As I've said before, he needs to calm the fuck down. Still, seeing someone like Wilson saying on Twitter that a new contract is more likely than him leaving is calming.
