  1. christ, can we get a decent fucking manager please and leave this shit to him? duff? a new contract? duff!?
  2. i really hope he's ok, just as much as i really hope we make an ambitious forward looking appointment
  3. nowt to say then ? Just joking man, I'm pretty bored, we all know spending money improves your chances of doing well, but it's not a given, you need the right manager, the right scouts and the right amount of money but you can do well without spending massive amount if you have the right manager e.g. Moyes and Everton. on the other hand, if you are lucky enough to get a decent manager, and it IS a lottery, and don't back him, he'll be off. Like Moyes, unless Everton are taken over or it all suddenly goes tits up for him. When you say "do well", how well do YOU want to do ? It's a lottery getting a good manager? No it's a skill, not an easy one but it is definately a skill. quite
  4. i think its impossible to say either way tbh. we can all sit here and say 'they would have denied it' 'why would they deny it during a relegation battle transfer window' etc but the fact remains that regardless of whats been said/not said, new things can always be brought to light to try and justify either decision. i.e. they keep him on 'he kept us up and works well with the system', they let him go 'his health isnt good enough'. we just dont know, i'm afraid we just have to hold on the hope that ashley can see him for what he is, a shit manager
  5. Are they allowed to modify the original plan? Is Kinnear in the new plan? Wise up mate! He isn't exactly going to come out and say they're ditching JFK in the summer! Absolutely love this smiley though....so i'm going to use it for the f*** of it They aren't ditching JFK though in plain to see mate. Everything that has came out of the club in regards to the future has indicated that Joe is going to be there, this offer of a long term contract - that he won't sign yet but it's in his desk - a pretty big clue. This ain't been rubbished by Newcastle. He is here to stay, and in my view they have planned for him to be here in the next 5 years and 'challenging' like Villa ..because he works well with Wisey and himself. when some people have an agenda, they can't see through the smog they produce when talking shit. tell me exactly why they would come out in public and rubbish the contract offer story? why exactly would they start handbags with the manager of their club, and quite possibly the only man lunatic enough to stay in this job at the moment? Especially when there now appears to be a perfect situation for Joe to move on in the summer and nobody lose face over it i'm clinging to the hope that the contract talk was to get players to join us in january on the basis that he'd be here for a few years. that and the fact that he talks shit, is shit, and is now unwell are giving me hope.
  6. we'll be having a 'rally' of or own at st james. the aim of it is to see us win 3 much needed points and we hope to achieve this by supporting the team
  7. same for scholes imo... wonder how mclaren gets on when he eventually gets back from holland...looks to be doing OK there at the moment, maybe something to be said for going abroad for a different perspective? I'm not sure I agree about Scholes - he's always come across as quite fiery on the pitch, something of a leader, and it isn't always the big talkers who command respect. Could well be wrong, I just reckon he's got something about him. don't think we'll ever hear from scholes again once he retires...giggs on the other hand perhaps EDIT: can't wait for beckhams attempt to manage though, his mrs doing the kits and that like delia half cut...it'll be fuckin mint Sammy Lee springs to mind in this category, seems to have all the tools, but just doesn't have the presence. you could tell from listening to that bloke talk for 5 seconds that he was stupid and wouldnt cut it
  8. leaving aside the fact that its the law that we beat them, i think that our team matches up pretty well against them and we MIGHT have a near full strength team out by then
  9. ok skeletor won that round
  10. Not so sure about that anymore. The Bolton thing was a sign. palacios was fuckin immense yesterday, unless he gets injured i think they'll slowly start to pull it together with him chopping people up properly instead of fairy's like jenas and zokora keane will bag some goals as well...i WANT them to go down but they won't, they just won't Will you change your mind if they don't win a league game in March? i will if they don't win a league game by may! you looked at their fixtures? i haven't being honest, why do you mention march? hard month for them? remember 4/5 wins will get them to safety (probably), can't see how they won't beat 5 teams...unless they've played most of the shit already, but they can't have played it all They don't have a pretty run in like. I have and I see maybe one win for them in March and that's if Boro play shite. just looked, they've got 4 home games they'll win imo (inc us) and they'll scrape a draw or two on the road plus there's always a surprise or two, see where you're coming from though - it might be very close for them you cant deny the laws of physics!
  11. Curbishley, thats believable.Hes not a bad manager, certainly better than JK.He certainly wouldnt be my first choice but we arent exactly the pick of the bunch ourselves are we?Didnt Curbishley leave for the same reason KK left? that was the first thing that i thought of yeah. just a rumour though, may aswell share these things
  12. heard a rumour that the club are letting kinnear go because of bad health and are bringing in curbishley.
  13. Well he has 2 more weeks of training so I hope so. Was he on the bench against west brom? pretty sure he wasnt like, lets hope he hasnt had a set back and its just a case of him getting his match fitness back
  14. without his goal we'd be two points worse off and west brom would have 1 more, justified signing already
  15. i understand why he says that he didnt see things but he could achieve exactly the same by saying he did see it but he isnt gonna comment on it until he's spoken to the player, then he wouldnt look like a liar/mentalist. it also might go some way to curbing the petulance he's got in his team

  17. time for a serious, forward looking managerial appointment to get the ticket sales back up in the new season
  18. was thinking as soon as eboue went off that it would be typical spurs to go on and lose
  19. what are you actually SAYING here though? that 'wanting the best for the club' is a trait that should be applauded in a manager? isnt that part of the definition of a managers job? its like praising a mother for feeding her children. who never accepted what he was trying to do? he's been trying to win football matches for nufc, which nufc fans didnt accept that? he took the job because he was desperate to get back into management, he was desperate to get back into management because no-one would give him a job, no-one would give him a job because he's not a good manager. just because he's in hospital doesnt mean we have to wax lyrical about him.

  21. yep, there was nothing he could do about that to be fair, it wasnt a foul though imo
