  1. Ah RIP, Joe. It was hard to feel any ill will toward him even at the time. He did genuinely seem to care and at the least he provided genuine light relief on numerous occasions, even if unintentional.
  2. I won't feel comfortable until we're mathematically clear of Brentford tbh. Had to double check the table to see who was 5th bottom and was surprised to see just how bad it was looking for them.
  3. Fucking hell Alan Smith has no insight, does he? Just manages to string together enough platitudes.
  4. Madness. Said it before but hopefully Howe can use this to show he doesn't need to be a mad man every week in future.
  5. Yup. Does that mean he's only one game away from avoiding his tenth yellow?
  6. Ipswich "have produced more late shows than David Letterman". that's top tier topical commentary right there.
  7. Thank God we finally have space for two 'keepers on the bench again. It's been too long.
  8. Pretty much, there's little originality these days. Same song but with your own club's name/nickname/players added in. It's probably really amplified for us because our own songbook is so dire and mostly made up of those unoriginal songs these days.
  9. He seems to have gotten a bit defensive over a fairly innocuous question, presumably as a way to avoid actually talking the finances. I feel like he could've covered it with 'it would be good but my job is to build a team with the resources we've got, CL money or not'. But I said from the off that I'd get sick of him purely because of others fawning over him just because he has the air of a bloke shooting the shit down the pub. I feel like he could come out with the most incoherent shite yet everyone would still think he's ace because he did it in a chill Aussie accent sticking mate in every sentence.
  10. I'm sure the same whiny bastards who hate our club already i.e. no one whose opinion Adidas nor the club should be making business decisions based on. Besides, i can't imagine this whole Elite = Trefoil business is as rigid as everyone implies. Can't be arsed to search up who but I think there's been clubs that aren't full on 'Elite' but near enough get treated as such by Adidas in their own regions. If Adidas want to make an exception because they know the money they'd be leaving on the table otherwise, they'll make an exception. Hell, they'll probably just make an extra 'tier' to account for it if they really don't want to throw us in the proper 'Elite' one.

Fuck it let's see how Alex Murphy gets on.
  12. I look forward to seeing who the first club is that manages to pay the luxury tax, get relegated, fall in to financial ruin and get their luxury tax back from the collective fund.
  13. Even though I'm a fan of the NBA I hate how American it all sounds. But to be honest it's probably not the worst thing to implement. Maybe I'm looking at it very simplistically and I know it won't solve all the problems in the league but if it is something that needs to be covered by the club's owners so they can't just saddle the club with more debt from it, it goes some way to ensuring the liability for overspending is on the owners themselves and not fucking a club even further at no cost to themselves if/when they walk away.
  14. Fuck sake didn't realise it'd actually been bumped.
  15. The Relegationometer can be laid to rest for one more year.

That's proper 'I've fuck all so let's fill this article out'.
  17. But for the badge that would be pure sex. Would love to see the mid-80s simple crest in its place on that shirt.
  18. It's so weird how half the stuff he comes out with would make me hate most other managers but I can't help but still love the mad old bastard.
  19. I think I'll like that home mock up if that's what it ends up being. I think the curved sides look shit when the top is just laid flat and when on it'll look better.

Obviously we can see he's a talent going forward but he's looking alright defensively, too. Certainly not glaringly out of place imo. It helps if he gets covered when he bombs on which Burn did well tonight. He's clearly got recovery pace too so once he's more used to his role him and Tino taking turns either side could be fucking electric long term.

The irony being he's effectively our poor man's Ashley Young in being a full back on his last legs. Which is absolutely ridiculous when you remember one is 32 and the other is 38. Ah well. Congrats on souring the memory of those League Cup outings, lad. Cheerio.
  22. Can midds do us all a favour and just lock this now?
