Well they do look to have latched on to the poor bugger a damn sight harder tbf.

Fingers crossed I win the ballot for a ticket to that testimonial.

Am I imagining it or wasn't one of his previous brands (Sports World?) one of the culprits that led to laws around fake closing down selling practices? I definitely recall the windows of the one in my town always being plastered top to bottom with closing down posters.

Good shout. Might do the same.

And as far as I'm aware you can't even get to that page unless you follow it straight from the email and already happen to be logged in. The first time I clicked the link it took me to the log in page, once logged in and on the 'welcome' page of my account there's not a single way of getting there.

They make this all so needlessly annoying. Got the failed renewal email this afternoon. Specifically says to log in and go to memberships and you can select the membership you want. Of course I log in, go to memberships and it still says coming soon.

22 years old and English just about covers it.

I was tempted but it felt harsh lumping him in with the other two as an established Champ 'keeper. But then it completely passed me by that Alnwick has been in the Champ the past 3 years too.. Albeit he just led Cardiff to relegation.

Make sure you don't pull a muscle stretching on those last two, mate.

Jim White's camped out on me doorstep waiting for me to fax my transaction statement across to the box office.

Got the email about the auto renewal. Had fuck all about it failing but I assume it has as I think I closed the credit card linked to the account. Yet I can't seem to find anywhere on the website that clearly indicates said failure. The website is still such absolute dogshit to navigate, especially on mobile.

Stop grooming the forum elders, please.

I'd have taken the points deduction. Who needs the CL and a Cup this season when we could've prepared ourselves to.. maybe get the CL and a Cup next season?

I feel like if we do have stripes on the back people will just complain that they're not perfectly aligned with the ones on the front or something. Until we see the kit on the players and as ever, 'one of our worst kits in years' becomes 'eh, that's alright'.

He did write about that. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/ange-postecoglou-tottenham-legacy-europa-league-final-man-utd-b1228662.html Then bitched out in the press conference with a much more wooly version. The media have done their usual building up to knock him down. Turn him in to a media darling on arrival, the usual 'breath of fresh air' bollocks and now they're skewering him at every opportunity. He sticks his foot in it enough as it is but it does feel like they've become absolute pricks to him knowing they'll get a rise.

Such a relief to get his £200k a week off our wage bill.

Obviously being local it shouldn't seem as far fetched as it feels, but why has he befriended multiple Gateshead players? Especially to the point of them being comfortable to pull a prank like this.

It's times like this that I wish there was a way that our rivals could both drop points when they face each other.

Lifetime ban for nicking twelve quid of food is hilarious tbf.

As long as he doesn't have to do a PEDs test. The engine on him is unbelievable. What a player. Could easily call him for MOTM most matches.

If another club's fan has read/listened to what our fan base have to say about him and still think he'd be good for them then more power to them. His methods won't be any better suited to a Championship team than they were to us in the PL. The plastering of his company's ads for free, cutting of costs, lack of infrastructure investment will just have them fall behind their Championship contemporaries like he made us fall behind ours. Anyone that wants their club run as a 'business' by a 'businessman' who couldn't increase our commercial revenue in an era where every single club's income skyrocketed from just sitting on their hands, is more than welcome to the soulless bastard.

So happy I don't like the look of any of this new stuff after what I spent on the retro stuff.

Got to love the 'from a football perspective' caveat.

I actually cast an eye over our seasons the other day and I guess it depends on the context. Not really easy to compare the state of play now versus 70+ years ago. Purely looking at the end result, when we won the league in 1905 we were also FA Cup runners up. Our 1910 and 1951 FA Cup successes each coincided with a 4th place finish, too. So even discounting any context such as the FFP/PSR restrictions trying to intentially hold us down, it's sure as hell up there. Says it all that you need to go that far back for anything comparable, though.
