  1. Does he actually have any affinity to the club or area? He just ended up in our youth system due to his dad, didn't he? Can't imagine he'd have agreed to an inevitable bench role for us.
  2. Take the fines and don't do them. Absolute bollocks. You just know the dressing room broadcasts will be absolutely fucking pointless too with anything of genuine substance cut out.
  3. You don't understand. That piece of shit wanted playing time. Playing time! Who the fuck did he think he was? A recent PL #1 who even most fans agreed was still more than adequate to keep that role? I for one now trust the Daily Mail, who attributed it being a dream on his behalf, because they now fit my narrative.
  4. The dressy casual look has really sold it for me. Can't wait to break out the slacks for my next ballot win.
  5. Shrugged off Cole trying to get in his ear afterwards too. Bad attitude. Ship him off to Man City while we have the chance.

    Fixtures 25/26

Forget the 18th. When do we start getting the utterly pointless and completely incorrect leaked fixture lists? That's what it's all about.

I would usually say it's really cool that the England manager would take such an active interest in the development of one of our youngsters. But I already have such little faith in Tuchel I'd rather he didn't take an interest in any of our players.
  8. Damn. Didn't realise Brentford are only 11/2 for relegation anyway. Was going to whack a lump on if they ended up with Parker.

    João Pedro

    Highly offensive iyam
  10. The media was always the worst part about Ange. Said from the start that their obsession with his casual nature would be what pisses me off rather than the casual nature itself. And then the constant aim of getting a rise from him once he started to crack, whether he didn't help himself or not. Classic build them up to knock them down cunt of an profession.
  11. Isn't that what he tried to do with both Fulham and Bournemouth previously?
  12. I love Pope and he's given us a good few years outside of his injuries. But if we want to evolve our style of play then we need a 'keeper that doesn't shank the ball out of touch or to opposition defenders 90% of the time. If Howe sees Trafford as being that 'keeper then it's a priority position imo. I still think this was evidenced by Dubs's run this season. Obviously he's not better than Pope overall but I feel like we overall controlled games a lot better during that run than at other times of the season by virtue of having a 'keeper that didn't shit his keks with the ball at his feet, offsetting his shotstopping shortcomings. I also can't see how Pope sticks around if he's not #1 so I could see us recouping a bit from him moving on if we do get a 'keeper in.
  13. Fair point. Definitely wouldn't trust Ebay for such things myself these days.
  14. On a loosely related note, this lad is off his rocker. About all I agree with is Fab because his spot is obvious.
  15. I already know I'm on the right side of history and that's all that matters.
  16. Doesn't look like any have actually sold for anywhere near that. Unless there appearing to be few available since April justifies doubling the asking price which feels a bit extreme.
  17. Classic Edwards. Here's the already reported figure but that's wrong. What? How much then? Just higher. Lots higher, trust me. Gotta go, it's wine time. I know I'm not saying anything new but football 'journalism' is an absolute fucking racket.
  18. Big Dan trying to absolve him with the language barrier is sweet when it couldn't have been anymore obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing.
  19. Apparently a proper baller, that lad.

It's what makes getting them both at the same time even more satisfying in that they compliment each other so well in their strengths and also why I don't like/see much point in comparing which is better because they're such wildly different versions of full back. In time Hall could become our closest replacement to Trippier as far as contributing from deep, while Tino can be the one that focuses on staying back and supporting the CBs, with the odd foray forward when the opportunity arises. Effectively swapping the roles from when we had Trips/Burn on either side. They seem naturally close on a personal level too, which can only be a good thing. Guess it makes sense when two young English lads playing the same but opposite role arrive at the same time.

Yeah the most offputting thought that means I wants us to ask a record-breaking kind of fee is how great it's felt to lock down our full backs of the future so soon. Two young, English lads either side with their own qualities that could have us set there for a decade? Especially with Trips on the wind down and us still needing to future-proof centre back too.

Google says the world record fee for a full back was £60m for Walker and that was 2017? I want £80m to even think about it and even then I'm not sure.

I'm not surprised they're complicated and on standby as it should be going no further than 'pay this extortionate price or fuck off'.
