  1. True, but he also rates Ramage highly for some bizarre reason. To be fair to the Ramage, he hasn't done too badly for us in UEFA games, and neither did the whole team until Alkmaar away so you can kind of see why Royle may regard him as an OK player based on what he's been watching of him. And they said this man has taste. Well no they didn't actually Joe Royle claimed that Tony Grant was the best passer of a ball from A to B in english football. Repeatedly. Who? Exactly. Grantona? He was quality but at the same time the most lightweight footballer I've ever seen. If he would have put about two stone on then he would have been a good player.
  2. Evans has been told he'll get some games at Utd next year so they must be selling Heinze or Brown. Silvestre will probably go as well.
  3. Agreed, the Loaded of footy mags I always thought, aimed at "real fans" but not written by real fans, as opposed to aimed at "real blokes" but written by people like Vic for Loaded. World Soccer is the daddy and 90 minutes used to be OK IIRC. Yeah, World Soccer is pretty decent. I got the last one which had some good stuff on Argie football past and present
  4. He's rubbish by all accounts. I was suprised by this transfer as there was some hype around him when he signed for Reading but after some digging on the interwebs it seems as though he was 3rd or 4th choice right back at the club behind Murty and De La Cruz who are both gash with Coppell even playing a midfielder there instead of Halford on one occasion. He gave away a pen on his debut for the club and was used in the reserves as a centre mid with Coppell trying to convert him but apparently he looked pretty poor in the middle even at that level so they've now cut their losses.
  5. I'm not joking here but I was told yesterday that Souness is the new City manager. I've had a bet at 15/1
  6. Everton's best days were the 80's. It's not even debatable.
  7. You've got David bloody Seaman but no Southall? Or Schmicheal for that matter. Seaman isn't fit to be mentioned in the same breath. And Jimmy Greaves but no Dixie Dean? Sort it out. I assume you're Bulgarian btw.

    The Striker Game.

Dimitar Berbatov - Spurs Thierry Henry - Barca Samuel Eto'o - Milan David Villa - Valencia Javier Saviola - Sevilla Fernando Torres - Atletico Jan Klaas Huntelaar - Juventus Carlos Tevez - Real Madrid Nicolas Anelka - Newcastle Djibril Cisse - Marseille Louis Saha - Lyon Alan Smith - Man Utd Diego Forlan - Villareal Craig Bellamy - West Ham Darren Bent - Spurs Jermaine Defoe - Portsmouth Yakubu - Boro David Nugent - Sunderland Benni McCarthy - Blackburn Obafemi Martins - Newcastle Michael Owen - Man Utd
  9. You don't need Dean Ashton, you've just got Viduka to do the same job If you could sell Martins for a similar price to what Darren Bent would cost then you should do it in a flash. Or even Anelka who would be cheaper.
  10. I'd forgotten about that Didn't Diouf also claim Legal Aid?
  11. Driving round Liverpool in an uninsured Range Rover. Got towed while he was shopping. Front page of the Echo.
  12. He is finished. If you've actually watched him in the past two seasons then you'd know that he's worse than all of your current first team wingers and very injury prone.
  13. I think the new Derby badge is better. The scroll underneath the ram always looked wank imo.
  14. Why not? Ben Haim and Taylor cover wide positions. Ben Haim is shit at full back, only good at centre back. Fair point on Taylor.
  15. Aren't you supposed to be signing Rosenhal? Can't see you getting him AND Ben Haim AND Cacapa
  16. Van Persie's was shinned in. Lucky. If someone like Rooney or Henry had scored McFadden's goal it would have walked this award. Also surprised there was no Drogba in the vote (v Liverpool at home & Everton away) or Matt Taylor's one from virtually 45 yards

    Estonia vs England

Not see Joe Cole this evening then? Not really, no. The only part I watched fully was the last 30mins. Cole did look crap from what I saw though.

    Estonia vs England

I've never seen a player run down as many blind alleys and not have any idea of what he actually wants to do with the ball as Kieran Dyer. I mean, ffs. Look up sometimes.

It's probably something to do with him being a better footballer Mad theory like but I reckon that's what it could be.
  20. Yeah. £67,850 pa doesn't sound bad to me. He'd just have to use it wisely so that he has enough to live comfortably when he retires at 36 or whatever. Still, it shows the gap when there are dozens of players in the Premiership who earn more in a week than a League One player does in a year. Good salary for your average man on the street, but no way is that enough to retire on at 36, tbh. 67k pa is 3.7k net a month. That's not stratospheric by any stretch of the imagination. I know but I'm presuming he's earned a fair bit more than that in the past when he was at Cardiff. And as I said, he will have had to invest it wisely from day one. If he owns property dating back a few years then he's sorted.

  22. It's doing the rounds here. "Spotted at Melwood" etc etc
  23. Yeah, interesting to see what it's like for lower league players in his position. The Port Vale boss sounds like a right wanker.
  24. He's shite. It's astonishing that he was bought by a club like Man Utd when he's not even good enough for top 10 teams.
