West Ham now willing to pay up to £20m for Johnson according to the Independent  I'd take that in a flash. It's double his value.

I think it's a disgrace they are wearing their rivals colours I can't believe there isn't more fuss tbh. Never in a million years would Everton have a red away kit. One year, the club had season tickets done in different colours according to what area of the ground you sat in. One of these colours was maroon, in reality it looked more like brown than red but there was outrage. It made the front page of the local paper and the club had to send out new season ticket books in a different colour. No doubt the idea for white shirts was thought up by the marketing men who have never watched a game of football in their lives

Again, James fucking Vaughan. Dominated Carvalho in the air but apparently he's not good enough to play against Slovak no hopers. Matt Derbyshire is on the pitch for gods sake. He is garbage.
-
James Vaughan has physical prescence and a phenomenal work rate. Scored 3 in 5 starts when he came back from injury at the end of the season, he's going to be a top class player. It's a joke he hasn't got a start in this match. Can't believe the FA gave Pearce a job.

Ramos is a lot better than Ranieri imo. One of the best managers in Europe based on the past couple of seasons especially in comparison to Ranieri's last job- spending a load of money to set Valencia back a few years. I'd be suprised if he went to City unless the takeover actually happens within say, the next week, and he will be allowed to spend an obscene amount. Personally, I think he should hold his horses and stay at Sevilla while he waits for a very top job to come up.

I think both of us can do a lot better than Zenden He'll probably go back to Holland

I'd do an Everton one if you wanted

More money than sense! On KUMB, it's widely being mentioned that Bent was being offered £80k and they had given him the ultimatum of agreeeing terms in a week or they move on to AJ. If Bent does go to Spurs, the offer is £35k. Egghead has been jacking up the wages ever since he bought the bingo club, Calum Davenport was on £8k with Spurs, he's now on £33k!! As you say, utterly f****** mental. He's the Icelandic Peter Ridsdale, this mong. When they spunk an absolute fortune on players and eventually sack Curbishley for a foreigner on Sven-like wages and still aren't a Champions League club they will clear off leaving the club up shit creek.

That reminds me not to visit Scarborough. Ever.

That story was complete bollocks lifted from a forum. This one seems silly as well but if they really do want to pay £15-18m for Johnson then more fool them. I'd snap their hands off. He's good but certainly not great. We could get Fernandes and Nugent or a good foreign striker for that money.
-
Arteta isn't going anywhere. This newspaper story was lifted from a first time poster on a West Ham forum claiming they are going to sign Johnson, Arteta AND Cahill  If you read the Mirror today there is absolutely no substance to it, no figures are mentioned, no quotes (not even from "an inside source") and outside of the attention grabbing headline the two players are barely mentioned in the entire full page article. In fact there's more about Mark Viduka in there than Arteta & Johnson.
-
Gallas and van Persie will be on big money. Hleb signed for £10m and will probably have accordingly high wages.
-
How the hell are Fulham in so much debt? Steve Marlet never cost THAT much
-
wow. they had a fantastic team back then. Too bad its not like that anymore fantastic team that got themselves relegated, and now only Ferdinand can say he has gone on to better things Yes, Dacourt playing for Roma and then winning the league with Inter was a real step down Kewell might have won the Champions League with Liverpool but he still pines for Elland Road Even Viduka achieved more at Boro than he did at Leeds- UEFA Cup runners up and League Cup winner compared to no medals at Leeds

One is Brazilian not Portugese And I reckon they're buying them because they are two of the best young players in the world tbh

Can't see it being a conflict of interest, Chang have no say in how Everton are run. Didn't Abramovich have to cut ties with a company that sponsored CSKA Moscow due to being owner of Chelsea? Something like that anyway. It would be the same scenario if someone from Chang was on another club's board, no?
-
ABola says both transfers are agreed. But it wouldnt really make sense for a club llike united to gamble big money on two foreign, untried youngsters. They've already done it with Ronaldo and that was a roaring success Don't see why they wouldn't try it again
-
I doubt someone from Chang would go onto your board Speccy, would it not be a conflict of interest? Surely it would break some sort of rule? A Chang spokesman said yesterday that they want to offer us a bigger, longer contract
-
I'm suprised really.. they're more than covered for both those types of player with Rooney and Ronaldo I thought they'd go for a top striker like Eto'o which is what they need. Not another winger and another creative forward. I suppose if Giggs plays less and they get rid of Richardson there will be lots of opportunities for Nani but I can't see where Anderson fits in? Class prospects mind.

There's more chance of Freddy Shepard donating his shares, free of charge, to Mike Ashley than Bill Kenwright selling Everton Doug Ellis the second

You got to be kidding me.. No honestly, Mclaren will probably pick carragher over king. Probably because Carragher is alot better than King Are you on drugs? Carragher is not technically good enough to play international football imo and is certainly too slow to partner John Terry. Carragher hasn't got the pace or passing range that Ledley King has in spades. He's a far more accomplished footballer and is also a match for Carragher defensively. Carragher is quite solid defensively and gives 110% but a top class footballer he is not. One of the most overhyped players of the last decade.

Apologies for the dig in the article....What I meant was Parker is totally unsuited to your club as he is ours. You're alright mate, I wasn't going to lose any sleep over it
-
The Ghana midfield is usually Essien, Appiah, Muntari and Kingston who are all very good players. Saying this fella is Essien's midfield partner is wide of the mark. Never really heard of him.
-
Pleased they areup, much prefer them to West Brom. They'll be straight back down though imo. Very much like Sheff Utd they have virtually no skill at all in their side but a great team ethic. Can't see them splashing out more than Sunderland or even Birmingham will.
